EVO-X2 AI Mini PC AMD Ryzen Al Max+ 395 Up to 5.1GHz, 16C/32T

Really great system with a small footprint. This computer is FAST, takes up very little space and the Video looks amazing. This is the first Small Form Factor CPU I have ever ordered, I will be buying more.

So far so good. This is for the 64gb model as the 128 looked to be on back order at the time. A little on the pricey side but a nice, mostly little, package. Dropped in a 2nd SSD and installed Bazzite. Recognized everything without issue. Running games at 1080p on Ultra setting. Helldivers 2 averages around 80fps, can dip to around 60 during intense situations. Don't have a monitor to run anything at a higher resolution but I'd imagine this little beast is more than capable. May just need to adjust some visuals.Comes with Windows 11 installed. Immedietly ran the debloater tool and nothing broke.Only real complaint so far is the website and bios updates. Not all the files listed in the instructions are available, and they're not written in the clearest format.

I was almost returning this product because Memory issue. Now I figured out 64GB RAM is sharing Memory with video card Memory, I been testing this computer, it's super-fast, and now I fix the RAM issue, It's perfect for me. Even I reinstalled windows 10 version lost the WiFI 7 feature, but LAN still working great for me on the internet speed. Nothing to complain on this Item now. Of course, if they update the new drivers to work with win10 is more perfect.

DEAD ON ARRIVALS. I don't do review at all even the product has issue, but this time it really makes me very disappointed with this mini PC and with this name brand - GMKtec. I have been using over 20 to 30 mini PC in last few years and they are all BeeLink and I have never received a product that is not working right out of the box. I ordered this MINI PC back to May and I wait for almost 2 months to receive this such as junk piece of plastic that is dead on arrivals. You heard me right, it is not completely metal body and it is just very cheap plastic outside. It looks cheap when I first opened the box and see the mini PC. Just like other reviewer, I got the same problem that the mini PC has not video output at all, and I tried with multiple LED display with both HDMI and USB Type-C, and they are all not working. This makes me feel that if GMKtec has ever had any quality control or testing before shipping to the customer. If you looking for little better quality product, look for other brand, stay away from this brand.

I received my EVO-X2 64GB around 2 weeks ago from Amazon and have been using it as my main PC. I bought it on sale and at that price it is a great mini pc with more total memory and lets me give it more VRAM than other similarly priced PCs.At first, I could only set the VRAM in bios to a maximum of 32GB instead of 48GB as shown on the website. I emailed GMKtec support and they replied in less than a day and had me download a couple of updates that fixed it. This will let me set the bios to 48GB of VRAM and dual boot into Linux to experiment with larger LLMs.The other issue I have with the EVO-X2 is that it can run very hot as other reviewers have mentioned. In performance mode, It can stay around 95C for workloads that max out both the CPU and GPU and can stay around 98C for workloads that max out just the CPU with a room temperature of around 26C. The good news for me is that I can run it in balanced mode to drop those temperatures by 15C to 20C and my applications only seem to be around 10-15% slower.

This is a fun little unit with a good size. It takes windows forever to update so just don't do updates if you want to use it quickly. I'm not a fan of AI, Windows 11 however the OS worked good. The only issue I found is if you go into the AMD software and change from default to higher quality the unit can hang/ pause on playing video inside a web page. It probably has something to do with the upscale on a 4K Screen. Changed it to default and it's flawless. This is a very nice desktop unit, it's not being used for games for me however that GPU may play a factor on Davinci Resolve/ Video edits. It's a fast and I believe it only pulls a fraction of the watts of the bigger towers it replaced. I would consider getting one more eventually. I would love to see this box with Linux mint, and a 4TB NVME. It has USB 4, Bluetooth, and the latest Wifi. It feels faster than my AMD 5800X, only falling short on the GPU side compared to my new RTX rig. I would say strong desktop so very happy with it. I would buy another when the time comes.

Update: Ended up returning it due to a constant flickering of the screen which doesn't happen when I move this SSD to my EVO-X1. Put it in the EVO-X2 and screen is constantly flickering. Maybe a bios update will fix this in the future but I was really enjoying this machine other than this issue.Purchased this with the hopes of being able to get rid of my large desktop machine. So far, it's doing great for my use case. I run Linux exclusively, and it has handled everything I've thrown at it including several Steam games (not AAA) that I've tried.When it arrived, I swapped the NVMe with a 2TB WD SN850X and a heatsink and loaded EndeavourOS KDE with no problems at all. It is a bit larger than I expected but still a small compact package. There is a bit of fan noise when under load but not enough to bother me. It's very fast and cheaper than the Framework Desktop I have on order which this will allow me to cancel.I really happy with the performance of this mini-pc and assuming no longer term issues, it will allow me to get rid of my large desktop machine. I have several GMKtec Mini-PC's and have had good luck with them so far.
