It works in some engines...
This decoder works very in FVM ES44s, but I bought this for a Hornby SW1 and it did not do a good job with the coreless motor. I pulled it out and replaced it with a Zimo decoder.

Works well in S2
Installed easy, & diesel runs as expected for DCC. Must be oriented with component side down or board will fry.
