Fantastic product helped immensely
This is a fantastic product. Easy to attach the sensor to your body i never felt anything as it went on. Easy clear instructions to set up and use. Once the app is downloaded its very self explanatory. This educated me so much on my eating habits. The foods that raised my glucose were surprising and not the foods i thought would do this. I have already implemented small changes to my diet that have made a difference to my glucose levels. The data stream is easy to see and understand on your phone. Its is so helpful to see the effect some foods can have on your body in real time. This sensor encouraged me to be a bit more active too. This sensor can be pricy but I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to instil changes to their wellbeing in relation to food/glucose levels. This is not just a gadget but a helpful tool designed to make you aware of your food/drink/exercise and how it impacts your body. It also gives helpful advice on changes and allows you to set goals if you wish.

Very stressful 8 days, and device not working properly anyway!
Unfortunately the monitor dramatically understated my supposed glucose levels - I was really worried I was hypoglycaemic! I ended up buying a traditional pin-prick monitor to try and work out what was going on. This pin-prick monitor shows an 8mmol/l difference ๐ฑ. Thatโs a lot! Because the device looked like it was working, itโs taken me 8 days to realise there was a problem with it. Iโll be honest, I hated it. This is one of the most stressful things Iโve used in a long time. The constant measurement of your blood sugar, trying to relate it back to what you ate and how you feel is really horrible. It is easy to become obsessed, and thatโs not healthy at all. I have a strong family history of diabetes, so wanted to understand how my eating habits could be improved to reduce my risk, but I donโt think this is a useful or healthy way of achieving that. The monitor pretends to be up-to-date to the minute, but if you read the literature there is actually a 15 minute lag in the results because they are actually measuring the fluid around your cells, not your blood. This means it is inviting you to make judgements on results in real time, but which arenโt actually real! It would be much better and healthier for the user if the monitor showed the 15 minute lag rather than pretending it is up to the minute. So I really donโt recommend, unless under medical supervision. And that is even before you take into account the fact the sensor wasnโt working properly, but there was nothing to indicate that there was a problem apart from some strange results. I would definitely recommend against buying.

Buy this product as its great and the support team are brilliant.
This is an excellent product as it is comfortable, accurate, compact, value for money, the adhesive is strong, its light and very portable and the phone app has many graphs and charts that are very easy to understand. But by far the best thing is the support team at Lingo. My second Lingo product came of, and to be clear it was my own fault as I brushed past a door too hard. The team responded very quickly and replaced it. So five stars all round!

Painless, good insights but not sticky enough.
Easy and painless to apply. Connected easily. Have kept getting a red dot showing on the sensor though and have to keep turning my Bluetooth off and back on again which is annoying. Gained some interesting insights into what spikes my glucose as keto adapted. Biggest issue was sticky started coming loose on day 7 and I applied it properly, didn't knock it, only 1 shower a day all week, no sauna or anything. I managed to cut some KT tape to try and hold it in place and it's ok for now but I'm not sure if it will last another 7 days. I think lingo should provide the extra sticky circles as standard because once it falls off that's it, you're ment to apply a whole new sensor and 1 week for the price is pretty bad. I'd recommend anyone buying one also purchase the extra sticky things to go over it in an emergency. Luckily I was at home and had kinesthetic tape. Will mine make the full 2 weeks? Who knows. Fingers crossed ๐ค๐ผ

Awesome piece of kit...
What a fab piece of kit. I'm not diabetic but recently needed to monitor my glucose levels to share with my GP to rule out other underlying health issues. Really easy to attach, setup and monitor via the app. It stayed stuck on for the two weeks, didn't need to keep it dry in the shower. Really interesting looking at the live or stored data. Definitely made me think differently about what and when I eat.

Inconsistent pairing
The monitor is great when they work, been using them for around 4 months, each monitor lasts for 2 weeks at ยฃ50+ per monitor, I have to return 3 now as they wouldn't pair. Initially bought through mylingo, however there customer service is poor so preferred the no argument Amazon approach. I have now stopped using them as 3 not working out of 8 monitors is frustrating and expensive

Libre 2 is better.
Not anywhere near as good as Libre plus 2 and not really geared to serious glucose monitoring. No record of levels above 7.7, so more for fitness training. Haven't figured out what a Lingo count is. Guidance re exercise and food is really, really patronising. "Let's start the day with a nice walk!". Doesn't always connect with Bluetooth and the app does not always open easily. I have bought three and regret spending so much money on a less than useful product.

Interesting but a bit gimmicky
The Lingo Glucose Biosensor is a fun way to get some data and understand how your body reacts to what you're eating. However, I found it a little bit gimmicky. The actual blood sugar level graphs measuring in mmol/L are helpful, but it also translates them into a 'Lingo count'. You get given a target to try and stay under and it's effectively tracking your blood sugar spikes. I don't think it's very well explained and I found the goal quite arbitrary. It gave advice every so often, like to do 10 minutes of calf raises, which I also found a bit random and not particularly tailored. I ended up ignoring the Lingo counts are focusing on the main graph. As for the sensor; it is super easy to apply and does not hurt. However it is much bigger and bulkier than another brand I've tried so it is more noticeable and annoying at times. I wouldn't want to wear this all the time, but it's good for a couple of weeks to learn about your body. Thanks to Home Tester Club for it!
