Need this to work on new cars
Vacuum pump for evacuation of air conditioning systems. This one can be used with flammable refrigerant. Have used on several cars. Pulls down to 29 in hg easily. Runs for 30 min no problem. Relatively quiet. Not the cheapest solution but well made. Should last a long time if you keep clean oil in it. Recommend .

Pump up the jam!
I have absolutely no idea why I bought this. But seriously: I’m extremely particular and critical with my resin tools and this is an excellent piece of kit if you want to remove air pockets from resin. This product is fast, reliable. When you have a live you’ve invested a few hundred or a few thousands on you cannot afford that something might go wrong. I use this model and another brand as a backup and so far haven’t needed the backup. I do recommend you make a tube and fan to suck/blow (😉) the exhaust outside because if it’s resin it’s possibley a blend of poisonous fumes (even if they say it isn’t) and oil vapor that can settle in your lungs and workshop surfaces. By venting it outdoors you make it dissipate so the chances are lesser that animals and people will be affected…but of course they will be…so use a filter to soak up most of the problems and hopefully future tech will figure out how to deal with it. We are all killers. We just don’t know who and what we’re killing. And on that note please enjoy your amazing vacuum pump! Seriously I did lots of research and this is the one I chose based “biggest bang for my money”. No sponsors, no discounts, I don’t know these guys. I just know their product is excellent. This is my 100% honest review.

Garbage, try a different one
It leaks a bunch of oil while it runs and doesn't pull vacuum. I would go with another brand. OMT seems to be pretty low quality from the products I have tried.

Excellent vacuum pump!
This vacuum pump is great. The 5 CFM will pull a good vacuum on a mini split super quick, and it has 2 ports for different sized hoses. Works great!

Novice A/C guy here, Works great, Super quiet
I was able to draw down my mini split to 120 microns pretty fast. I did it several times after pressure testing with nitrogen for leaks. I expect to get many years of service from this pump.

Maybe I got a lemon, but maybe just avoid it
Received this excited to use for some HVAC work, oiled it up, tested it, it ran seemingly fine. Life happened and I waited just hours past the return window before I got to my project. Plugged it back in, flipped the switch to a click and a grinding noise. Never used, already seized. I’ve attached a video of the condition. It seems like it tries to run, then thermal overload. I’m plugged directly into mains with no extension cord on a 20A circuit , so it’s not a voltage drop issue or lack of energy. Another lesson on “you get what you pay for” and an understanding of why this, even at almost $150 is less than half price of what people recommend using. I only wish I hadn’t waited past the return window so I wasn’t completely hosed on a useless DOA product. EDIT: I tried to reach out to the company again to see if they had a technical department that could help me troubleshoot the problem. Maybe it was just a start capacitor or something on the motor. Was worth a shot to at least ask. Low and behold, after a few back and forths with their service email, they offered to send me a replacement even being outside of the amazon return window by a lot and technically past the warranty period. This is a very positive mark in my opinion as the main delay was my own making. i've added a start back for this. If the replacement unit arrives in good working order, I'll be happy to come back and update again as sometimes lemons do happen.

Needs additional ports
Vacuum pump worked on R32 system, took 90 minutes to evacuate system down to 300 microns. Really should have additional built in ports

Not professional level but more than enough for intermittent users.
I've used this about a dozen times over seven months on automotive A/C systems before writing this review. I've run it for up to two hours continuously and It Works perfectly. Always make certain it's at a normal room temperature before starting.
