Make sure things are plugged in properly
One plugged in properly it works well. If, like me, the USB on you phone was full of fluff you'll need to clean it out first, or it won't plug in properly, and you may not get any sound out, or it may not charge you phoneAmazon asked for a rating for volume control, it has no volume control that is don't through the phone or on what ever you connect it to

Headphone mic cannot be used in some apps
Allows me to listen to music while charging my Pixel 2 XL, which is great, but the headphone mic does not work.[Edit - This only seems to be the case for certain apps like WhatsApp and Kik, it does work with the phone app, so probably not a fault with the adaptor. After every day use for a couple of months, it has stopped working in one ear.]

Does not really work, can't charge Note 20 Ultra
Had one of those from another company, bought this as back up. It doesn't charge my phone and sound is very quiet with buzzing noise. Overall not impressed. I'm using a Note 20 ultra plus.

Works great! Changing Google Pixel 2.
My brother found it really frustrating that he couldn't change his Google Pixel 2 and listen to music or an audiobook at the same time. Obviously, I figured this would help, so I ordered it. He gave it a go and it worked perfectly but he managed to drop his phone whilst it was plugged in and the port to the phone is now a little bit bent. Still works though. Overall, works as intended, just don't drop it...

Works with Pixel 3 XL in my car
Hi,. Like many I was confused by reviews of this sort of product, some saying it worked and some saying it did not. I needed a solution and so decided to have a go. Using Android Auto on my Pixel 3 XL phone this splitter works in my Mercedes. BUT it is essential to DISCONNECT the phone from the car's bluetooth, otherwise the phone tries to send audio via bluetooth and my eight year old car cannot pick up media from the phone, it can only use the bluetooth for phone calls. If you get/make a lot of phone calls in your car and you need bluetooth, then this adapater will not give you the audio you need. I expected this, and it is not a concern for me. Just wanted to be very clear - to help others. For me it is a 5 star device.

Works with HTC
Can confirm, this worked well with my HTC U11, it can be a tiny bit fiddly for it to connect but once it does there's no problems what so ever. All I have to do is plug in, remove, and plug back in a couple of times and my phone will eventually pick it up, and from there, smooth sailing.

Works great with Pixel 3
Bought this to allow me to charge my Google Pixel 3 and listen to music at the same time while driving in my very basic car.Only slight drawback is that my phone recognises it as having an audio input too, and Android has no option to use the built-in microphone even when an external audio input is detected. To get around this, I macgyvered my own hands-free kit in my car, by using a clip-on microphone:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Microphone-Gyvazla-Omnidirectional-Condenser-Smartphones/dp/B0727Q5M3G/and a combination audio splitter:https://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-com-headsets-separate-headphone-microphone-Black/dp/B004SP0WAQThis works great, and I can now use voice commands and make voice calls again.

HTC u12+
It works with HTC u12+. One minor issues is every time it's plugged to the smartphone there's a pop-up saying the device is drawing power from the phone. A part from this, it does its job.
