Seagate Expansion 20TB External Hard Drive HDD - USB 3.0, with Rescue Data Recovery Services (STKP20000400)

Purchased 24TB Seagate Expansion HDD and I can confirm that in all aspects whether be the top Quality and lite Weight portability and fast Speed transfer rate and read write operation and Value for money and Performance and Functionality and Storage Capacity, it deserves to be rated 10/10.

At first i thought it was slow and i realised my laptop was the bottleneck when i used it on my pc it is as fast any other hdd

This is my second unit. It cost me about 15% more than the previous one, which I bought in the beginning of 2021. That's quite a bit of escalation. Seagate no longer puts in the excellent Enterprise Helium-filled drives in these, instead it looks like a standard CMR 4-platter (or 5) design. I get about 260MB/s write speed at the beginning of the drive, and for mixed small files it's still stays above 40MB/s (which is actually excellent). When writing very small files (<2kB) such as scripts and blank texture files it slows down to 10MB/s, which is acceptable. While I haven't run a full speed test, it should still have the same speed as its predecessor. It is very noisy (large drives tend to be), so don't plan on using it next to your desktop. For archiving, this is the best you can get. Windows power-saving works fine, for Linux you need hd-idle package or other method to spin down. It's a heavy drive but very well-ventilated. Unlike the coffin-like Expansion series, there is an almost open top grate that allows heat to move quickly, another indication of a lower quality drive inside. Seagate might have improved, I have quite a few of their external units and the flaky reliability of the last few decades has not resurfaced.

I bought the 20tb version , around 18tb available speed is 115-150MB/S The product is good ,fast and not bulky You get harddisk,connecting cable and charging cable which needs a power socket Only complaint i have is they sent the harddisk in original covering no cardboard was used and everyone know what i bought

Working well. But still it's expensive.

Spend over 66k on an 20tb seagate hdd and the product was damaged, both macOS and windows isn’t recognising it. It has been a pain to contact the seller so far. I hope this is resolved soon. As now I have urgent work, and my money is gone and the product is useless. I have been going round and round between seagate and Amazon and the seller hasn’t contacted me yet.

Seagate is the BEST HDD. This 20 TB does the job. Unlike WD which is useless.

These drives just keep getting bigger. They're ideal for me for media storage. I've been using Seagate Drives for many years. Never a problem. This one appears to be of the same quality.
