This refurbished Surface Pro 7+ arrived looking like new. Following charging the battery, installing my files from the One Drive backup of my tired seven-year-old old surface laptop was a breeze. Reentering passwords and establishing new passcodes went as one would expect - without difficulty. The battery capacity seems great - I tend to run it all day between recharging and there have been absolutely no issues with performance or reliability thus far. It's an affordable keeper.

Worked for five minutes out of the box and then the touch screen went dead.

These tablets are end of life. We ordered two for the office for our techs to scan off work. I’m system administrator. What’s happening is that this device is no longer supported and updates in windows 11 driver updates. You can get past the Out of Box Experience, but as soon as you connect it to the network and it forces updates, it will restart and it won’t load the login screen so you’re stuck with a black screen and cursor. I have wiped and reinstalled windows 6 times and tried multiple different methods to stop the updates from loading. Nope. Windows still bypasses my own restrictions. The only thing I haven’t attempted was to restrict the updates on my RMM for this device, but home users or regular users won’t have access to that. If you want this device, prepare to use it offline only. To skip the WiFi picks in the out of box experience, get to where it wants to connect you to WiFi, and then hold shift+F10, then type without quotes, “oobe\bypassnro” this will bring you back to the start but allow you to choose you have no internet and set it up offline.
