Agreed - Great but not fantastic
This licorice is good, it is somewhat flavorful but not really soft/chewy. I would say it is middle of the road soft - moderately chewy. I totally agree with one of the other reviews here, it is "Great but not fantastic" and certainly better than the US brands. If you like this licorice, then I would also recommend trying the Henry Goode brand.

I don't like Licorice
Did you know Australia loves licorice and makes high quality stuff?Me neither!I had a co-worker that had never have licorice. I said it taste like Jagermeister, assuming everyone has been 22 and a little aggressive with the alcohol. Nope.Well you cannot explain the flavor of licorice, it requires experience. So I bought this little guy to try some high-quality licorice from down under.I don't really care for the taste of licorice, neither did my co-worker but we bonded over the experience. However there is an odd draw to go back and have more of something I didn't even really care for. Is this the call of the void I've read about? This does feel like high-end candy that was likely inspected by some college educated Wallaby's to ensure the best anise flavor...or is it flavour in this context?Grab a bag and try it, even if you don't like it.
