Retro 51 Deluxe Stealth Tornado Rollerball Pen

I absolutely adore this pen. I use it frequently throughout my day, and have no complaints. The ink is awesome, and very bold. The weight is on the heavy side, which I prefer. I bought this pen a second time to replace my first one, only because I lost it and spent like 3 weeks until I got tired of missing it. Absolutely recommend it, I would definitely go with one of the normal models that are on the lower end; unless you want to spend the extra amount for uniqueness.

I recently bought this pen for my husband and he says: “I saw a review that said the pen is back end heavy, but I have a big hand (XL glove size) and it balances perfectly. The rollerball cartridge writes flawlessly and smoothly, and the body of the pen is textured and is easy to grip. It also has a nice sleek design, with all these reasons making this one of my favorite writing instruments in my collection.” I tried wrote with it too and even with my small hand I felt like it was well balanced when writing.

Beautiful and sleek in design. Good weight and heft - neither too light nor unevenly balanced with excess weight. For 95% of the time, writes like a dream. The other 5% is the unfortunate occasion of no ink flow or extremely limited, leading you scratching the pen across the page with little to no ink following. But again, only occasionally. Absolutely would recommend purchase to anyone.

Absolutely love this pen. If you are picky about your pens this is the one for you. Comes in so many color options, I plan on buying my wife, son, & daughter in-law one each for their upcoming birthdays. The pen writes very nicely and evenly.

For me, this pen has the perfect weight/balance. Really like how the ink flows smoothly. I liked the pen so much, that I bought a different model and it works just as beautifully.

I have casually collected pens over the last few years. I had someone recommend the Tornado to me and decided to give it a try. The pen looks great and feels great in the hand. I also think the case it comes in serves as a nice looking display. What I don’t love is how the pen writes. Maybe I have had bad luck, but I have not had a steady flow of ink from this pen so far. I tried another Retro 51 Tornado, which wrote much better. the profile is sleek, the look is great, but I just prefer a few other pens to this.

I am a huge fan of the Retro 1951 brand of pens due to their classic look and feel coupled with their elegance and large catalog of color options and designs. These pens make this a very suitable gift option as well as personal use. Also I have discovered there are three refill options available first with the original Schmidt refills but the Parker standard pen refills and Fisher space pen refills also work with these pens. Buy one today and you will not regret the purchase.

Lovely solid metal rollerball pen; the knurled twist mechanism feels quality. The pen is compact measuring 13cm long. It comes with a bold black P8127 rollerball refill which is super smooth but I prefer the slimmer P8126 refills you can easily buy. It also accepts standard Parker ballpen refills you can get at Officeworks or harvest from cheap trade show pens.
