These Pool Stairs are Perfect!
I am so happy I bought these stairs. They were easy to put together, sturdy, adjustable and just the right width. I did add a couple more holes for them to fill with water and you will need stair weights to keep them from floating up but I am super impressed. I used two 4โ pvc pipes filled with concrete and heavy duty zip ties and have had no issues. Highly recommend.

Perfect Pool Steps: Well made, sturdy and wide
These steps are perfect! I love it. I'm 75 and that ladder just didn't work for my knees anymore. These have given me back my pool. First the steps themselves are not slippery. They are nubby but feel comfortable under bare feet. The whole thing is well made and sturdy. I'm not a light weight and the handrails work great. Be sure to follow the advice from the reviewer who tells you how to attach a cement filled PVC pipe under the bottom step. We filled only with water - no sand. We followed the directions of the reviewer and made a cement filled PVC pipe and zipped tied it under the bottom step. It stays right where we put it without messy sand. We have a tiled deck and pool edge so instead of drilling holes and screwing down the positioning arms we tied them off to spikes with eye holes in the ground outside the pool edge. Works great.

GOOD STEPS, RAILINGS A LITTLE TOO WOBBLY BUT PRICE IS RIGHT FOR WHAT YOU GET
The Confer brand is, in my opinion, the strongest steps made for the price, EXCEPT for the rails, they wobble too much. But I would still buy this brand. Just extremely disappointed in the rails because I am way over 75 years, still exercise, BUT when I depend on strong railings to get me in or out of our pool, it's concerning because they wabble so much. Everything else was good. My husband was still able to put it together by himself, which at our age gets a little challenging. If you fill the steps with the sand correctly, THEY DO NOT FLOAT. Tilt the steps to distribute the sand evenly and you should not have a problem. All parts were there when the box was opened.

Great set of pool stairs and hack to weigh front down
We got these steps last year to replace a vertical ladder that broke. I get painful foot cramps that many times brought on by the pressure the rungs of a traditional ladder on the soles of my feet. These steps solved that problem so i would recommend them for anyone who has similar foot or other issues like back problems using a deck ladder. Before i put the stairs in for a second year i wanted to fix the issue some other customers reported where do to buoyancy the front part of the stairs tend to lift up a couple of inches. I the solution that i used was inexpensive, unobtrusive, easy to install and has solved the problem. I used a precut two foot 4inch in diameter PVC pipe, two end caps, 36 inch zip ties and bag of cement. I used pvc glue to affix one end cap and filled cement and glued other end cap and let it set over night. Then turn over the stairs over so the bottom step was faceup on the deck. Drill 4 holes into the riser of the bottom stairs as shown. Measure or simply use the PVC pipe as a guide drill 4 companion holes above the pipe insert the tails of the zip on the bottom hole and back up and out throught the top hole so you can get better leverage to pull the zip tie tight towards you. The 4 zips seem to have done their job and hold the weight securely in place. The zips being on the front bottom riser rather than the blue stair are barely noticeable and the weight is doing its job as the stairs now rest flatly on the pool liner. Otherwise these the family love the stairs, they are sturdy enough to sit on and makes getting in and out of the pool a breeze.

Must purchase
After endless research, this was the one. So glad I decided to purchase this brand and model. Easy to put together and we used pea gravel or stone instead of sand. Great and sturdy.

Had great customer service when needed! Confer steps work well!
We have had confer steps for 26 years in our previous pool, so we stuck with those for in our new pool. When my husband put the new ones together, there ended up being a split in the one side panel that wasnโt noticeable until putting the hand rail in. We immediately contacted the seller, who was prompt in response and quickly arranged for a new side panel to be shipped from the manufacturer. My husband made the switch and we put the steps in the new pool. (Itโs always been a 2-person effort putting the steps in the pool.) They function in the same manner as the old ones and we are good to go. You have to be patient with the process as they slowly fill with water. Iโve included a picture to show how we continued to secure the steps as we always did with the old ones. The steps stay put! No floating! They are great for getting in and out of the pool with ease! As far as concern with algae, we pull our steps out every year for the fall and winter, and I always give them a good washing before putting back in the pool the next season. The pool steps have never been a source of causing algae. So, we had great customer service when needed, have another set of steps to serve their same purpose as the old ones did, and we went with the blue steps this time (old ones were gray) and like the looks of them for something different. We are happy with our purchase of confer steps!

Good steps.
Hand rails are sturdier than my last ladder. Instead of filling the steps with sand I used two 50# sand bags to hold steps down. More importantly. Made in USA.

Blue stairs
These were very easy to put together and easy to put into the pool. I do think the handrails could be a little sturdier but overall these work great!!! The blue steps look beautiful in the blue water.

much better than the ladder we had with the pool
I bought these because I have leg problems and the regular ladder that came with the pool made me nervous. I worried about my foot slipping on the narrow rungs. This ladder makes me feel secure as I climb into pool (we got two, one for the outside and one for the inside of the pool). Only concern is that I think we didn't get the rails as secure as I would like. They wobble a bit.

Overall great stairs! Easy to build!
These pool stairs are great! They are a bit wider than others weโve had and have good grip. Good for all ages and can accommodate those with mobility challenges as well. We chose not to fill the stairs fully with sand. Disclaimer: we started to fill the stairs but it became clear they would be too heavy and challenging to remove from the pool at the end of the season. These stairs do not accommodate sand containers that you would place on the underside (this review would have been 5 stars had these stairs come with an alternative weighted option). We weighed down the stairs with waterproof bags and fire glass- worked great! See photo-
