This pitcher was slow going at the start but after running water through it a few times it picked up speed. I have no idea what these filters are filtering out of our tap water but it makes our water taste great! Worthwhile investment and a much healthier alternative to bottled water. I would definitely recommend this pitcher to anyone not satisfied or leery of their tap water.

I absolutely love this pitcher. It's beatiful and actually easier to use and replace than a lot of the comments made it seem. Also the complaints about it getting hard to clean in some places seems like user error to me. I am thoroughly enjoying it but I do have to agree this is perfect for 1 person but not for continuous consistent use for a family I'd say. Regardless I recommend this pitcher.

WE LOVED THIS FILTER UNTIL I ACCIDENTALLY TIPPED IT OVER AND IT FELL ON OUR KITCHEN COUNTER AND BROKE INTO SEVERAL GLASS SHARDS AND PIECES. I HAVE ASKED SELLER FOR A FREE REPLACEMENT OR TO GIVE ME A DISCOUNT OF SOMETHING, ONLY HAD THIS PITCHER/FILTER SINCE JULY AND USE EVERY DAY, SO FAR NO RESPONSE FROM SELLER AND OTHER THAT THIS ITEM BREAKS VERY EASILY THAT IF I HAD KIDS I WOULD NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, LOVED THIS FILTER UNTIL IT ACCIDENTALLY JUST TIPPED OVER (NOT EVEN DROPPED) AND BROKE INTO GLASS PIECES. STILL WAITING FOR A REFUND, REPLACEMENT, OR A DISCOUNT BECAUSE WOULD LIKE TO BUY AGAIN OR GET MY FREE REPLACEMENT, AT $60 DOLLARS SELLER MAKING A MINT I WOULD ASSUME.

Beautiful and easy to use!

This is complicated to put together mainly because it is a bit of a squeeze to get the longer membrane in the glass container . I was using Soma and a Brita - this is very heavy drips so slowly has a huge amount of plastic .Initially I over reacted left a bad review - it does eventually drip through the water does taste good - it is very heavy to handle and there is a lot of plastic.I wish the carafe that is all stainless steel and glass wasnt so expensive that is probably the way to go a the others even the Soma have some plastic .I am not sure about the heavy plastic base it seems like it could potentially hold water and get moldy though it does keep it steady
