Terrible iron, cheaper ones worked better. Doesn’t heat up properly and very expensive for what it is.

I have been using Hot Tools for over 20+ years. They are great curling irons, last, heat up quickly and do not damage your hair. The heat setting is outstanding. I had this saved as I always like to have a back-up curling iron for travel and you just never know how long you'll have your iron before it dies. I needed a replacement and decided to go for it during the Amazon Days when it went on sale. The value for the money was well worth the wait. This curling iron is easy to use, looks great, has a long cord and wraps up easy for travel. I would highly recommend this iron, I've had so many of them over the past couple of decades, all Hot Tools are great products.

I love it! I'm a beginner at curling my own hair, normally I've only ever flat ironed it to make it sleek and straight. Im naturally slightly wavy, medium thickness hair (leans more coarse) and a lot of it, and i feel like this iron is very easy for someone new to curling and with a lot of hair. Heats up pretty fast. Picture isn't perfect because I am pretty new to doing it on myself but it definitely makes a smooth curl!

I got the 1 inch barrel, just used it out of the box today. Definitely not gold, but still looks slick. Doesn’t make my hair smell burnt, which is nice! I used the 380 degrees heat setting and this is the results. I’m still a beginner at curlers. This one worked very well. I took some photos before and after I brushed out my curls.
