Considering the diminutive size of the new vastly pared-down Mac Mini and its lack of a security socket, the Fasgear VESA mount proved to be the ideal solution for providing a lockable chassis for attaching a security wire and padlock. With the detailed online product description I was able to determine from the images that there were additional drilled holes in the plate that would enable attachment of rubber feet to the VESA frame. All that would be required were some additional nuts, bolts, and washers. From years spent as an IT consultant and university lecturer, I found that there is no economy like false economy where security is concerned. Given the Mac Mini's small footprint, it could walk out of any office in someones's pocket at any time....and the first priority should be to lock it down even before starting to configure the software (at the very least locking it in a drawer or cupboard until the ordered attachments arrive...!).

It is robust and well designed. If the edges were finished a little better it would have earned a fifth star from me. As it is, five minutes with some emery cloth smoothed the slightly rough edges and I have no regrets about my choice.

Great piece of kit for installing my mini-mac under the desk at a reasonable price. I had to take a look at the photos to determine which way I was supposed to put the Mini-Mac in (which was upside down) and use a couple of rubber bumpers as there are no instructions. However it was easy to fit to the desk, the Mini-Mac slides in fairly easily and there was no issue with access for turning it off/on. Really pleased with the purchase.

This is a nice sturdy aluminium enclosure. Fits the new Mac Mini M4 very snugly. Perfect for mounting it under a desk, when you do this the Mini will be upside down (which is not a problem). It is possible to put the Mini the correct way up as well but the mount doesn’t fit quite as nicely by design. The locking bracket can be either at the front or back, and the hole for a padlock is around 8mm max. Once mounted, it’s still possible to reach the power button through the side or back as long as you don’t have very fat fingers!

Very pleased with this bracket. Easily secured to the underside of my desk. I was wary that it could easily be pinched, so it is well out of sight now.

What a great product, thanks for this mount i can hide my mac mini under desk and have nice tidy space on the top. Holder itself have plastic protection on places where you sliding your mac mini. Its have some lock function too .
