Wow! We had a mosquito outbreak once the heavy rain period ended last week. Sitting on our lanai in the evening became impossible for all the bites and buzzing. The day this trap arrived I plugged it in and set on the lanai table. The next morning there must have been twenty mosquitos in there and several small moths. I was hoping it would catch house flies but that hasn't happened yet. KB

I suddenly had this big invasion of fruit flies or gnats or whatever tiny bugs. I got this bad boy and it started killing Immediately . I say it is performing as advertised. Not magical. Just slow and relentless. I recommend the High fan setting.

I think this STEM Flying Insect Fan Trap is actually a really great product overall. It really does work and has helped me keep my house much more free from flying insects, which has made a big difference in my day-to-day comfort. It’s easy to use, runs quietly, and I like that it’s a cleaner alternative compared to sprays. It does a good job controlling bugs indoors, and I’ve definitely noticed fewer flying insects since using it. That said, I do think it’s a little on the pricier side, which is why I’m taking off one star. The replacement filters can also be pretty expensive, so that’s something to keep in mind long term. Overall, even with the cost, it still works well and does what it’s supposed to do. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance way to manage flying insects indoors, this is a solid option.

The reviews are accurate in describing the weak suction power of this fan. The two modes seem to produce the same amount of suction. However, I tested both modes by placing a paper towel against the fan to determine which one had stronger suction. Surprisingly, both modes only managed to suction the towel just barely. I even caught a fruit fly resting on top of the fan’s suction and it didn’t do its job. The fan’s suction power is quite disappointing. The only positive aspect of this product is its size. I appreciate that it’s not too bulky, but now it’s just a waste of space because it’s incredibly weak. I doubt I’ll use it anymore because it’s just another place for fruit flies to chill. These little things work GREAT, and their super quiet. For the price we paid its pretty much gotten rid of all the gnats that tend to get into our house around summer time. We actually have been meaning to buy a few for around the house like outdoors as well. Would recommend these to anyone who has those annoying summer bugs in their house like gnats flies or other small fliers the UV light seems to work pretty good as night too.

got this to try and help a fruit fly problem. works alright so long as the unit is running, but the vacuum isn't quite strong enough to suck them down onto the glue trap. so it really just contains them until you turn it off or bump it, than them immediately escape from both the top and the ventilation holes on the sides. learned all of this the hard way after i opened it to inspect how well it worked after leaving it running all day. it's currently sealed in a 2 gallon ziplock bag until i can get a finer mesh to wrap around the vent holes and fashion some sort of lid for the top for while it's off.

Works very well. Very quiet, no smell. Makes a nice little night light too. I have one for my home at back door and one for my camper.

Renovating our house and getting infested with mosquitoes after a big rain. This was just the first night I put it out! Worked great. Easy instructions. The light attracts them then the fan sucks them down to the sticky bottom. Recommending to everyone.
