This component is a boon.
Replacing with this is doable, but the cable hole has to be created. The assembly with the mirror required a certain level of skill. HCIL should learn from servicing or redesign of the comonent: because last year alone the bikes hit the 4 times, each time the mirror bracket broke, even leaving the glass intact. In the city here, the traffic is reckless and ruleless, people are ruthless, and once they alight a bike they transcend into different realm: hence for the Honda City owner this component seriously is a boon.
