The Serola Belt has been a real Godsend for me!
I have suffered over 4 hrs with excruciating nerve pain, burning, and spasms (lower lumbar spine, just below ribs, pelvic & groin region, hips, and thighs front & back to knees) due to a kind of dysplasia with both left and right SI Joints which has largely restricted activity (bending, twisting, squatting, lounge standing & walking, sleeping--everything!) I have been through multiple regimes of drugs, injections, physical therapy, massage, heat, Theracane, TENS Unit, support pillows, adjustable mattress, compression products, etc etc. and am currently wrestling with my insurance to cover SI-Bone joint surgery. Though I was once very active, the condition kept me most of the time on my back, which affects my happiness and potentially could affect my overall health. While researching online in mid' November 2016, I found the Serola belt, which has since been a real Godsend for me (I wish it had been recommended to me earlier by my pain management specialist or physical therapist, since another physical therapist told me the belt is widely used and recommended by many). No, it does not eliminate ALL the pain, however it noticeably improves overall relief and keeps my pain to a lower level. I wear mine 24-7 and have had to train myself with it at night to life on back with pelvis straight and legs flat. The belt adds the necessary support when ordered in proper size by chart, and worn in the right place according to instructions online & in booklet found in packaging (bottom of belt should be where front Jean pockets begin). It took nearly a month to adjust to properly to wearing it (correct placement & tightness) and deriving it's benefits, partly because I did not 1st initially read all instructions enclosed in packaging, and largely due to the extreme Inflammation I had up to the purchase of the belt. Time and patience was needed to learn and to allow the inflammation to gradually go down as I faithfully kept the belt on. Since, I have been able to stand and walk for longer periods and reduce a lot of my meds. The belt is a darker color worn low, and it is comfortable, very sturdy, and has very strong velcro that will not come loose. The straps on both sides can be pulled and secured to just the right hold needed to restrict movement of the SI Joints, while not restricting me from normal overall physical movement. I have gone to pulling mine very snugly and only take it off for showering to use the bathroom. In bed, wearing the belt and using a firm half-round bolster under my knees has helped immensely. I was surprised to realize the amount of pain, discomfort and overall tension that had been accumulating as I had just normalized and coped with it--even while drastically curtailing or drastically reducing my day to day activity. The Solera belt has allows me to stand and work in kitchen longer, drive and sleep more comfortably, and walk for longer distances at the store. Because I have been able to lessen the drugs I take and sleep a little better, I feel sharper, happier, and more relaxed. The money is worth it and the belt, when introduced along with the other measures I was taking, has helped a lot. I would highly recommend it. One more note: upon visiting another physical therapist, I was met with professionals who were very familiar with the belt and have been using it for their patients for a long time. She was also happy to visually evaluate me to ensure belt placement was correct. I have told my doctor and massage therapists, as well as a few people I've met with same issues.

Love this belt
Have pain in my back because my SI joint is unstable and it gets worse if I walk a lot. PT recommended this and it works great. Worked so well I bought this second one for my sister who has same issue for our trip in Europe. Both of us had very little back pain while walking way more than we usually do. Absolutely great if SI movement is the cause of your pain.

Great item!
This is extremely helpful for supporting the SI joints. The Velcro isn't the strongest, but it works well enough. It's lightweight and easy to fit to your size.

On my second one
Years ago, I injured my back and a chiropractor introduced me to the sacroiliac belt. I don't think I was wearing it correctly because I didn't feel much relief. A couple of years ago, I decided to revisit the SI belt since I never really fully recovered. I've experimented with different SI belts and this one is truly the best. It's more discreet, better looking, and holds its shape the best. Since it's not as wide as previous belts I've tried, it's easier to sit with it on. Provides instant relief and makes my workday so much better, since I stand most of the day. The velcro was giving up so it would spontaneously pop off occasionally. It got pretty annoying and I finally decided to purchase another. The first one lasted almost a year. I'll still use it around the house, but I'm docking a star for the velcro not lasting a year. Although the velcro was the weak point, the rest of the belt is still good as new and there was no question that I would buy the Serola belt again.

Amazing Product for SI Joint Pain
I don't very often leave product feedback. I've had what I thought was Sciatica for 4 weeks now - very painful. After imaging and finding I have SI joint issues, I thought I'd give this a try. It has been a lifesaver - I can now be active all day again without any pain - the only pain I have is when I take it off to sleep. Amazing!!

Helps with SI pain
I've been using this belt 24/7 (other than nightly showers) for the past few days, and while I'm not sure it's worth $60, it's definitely helping my SI pain. I'm wearing it under my underwear so that I can use the restroom without having to take it on and off, as I don't always have the luxury of time to wait to remove another layer due to some other medical issues. It's not the easiest to put on, and it takes a lot of fiddling to get it to where some part of it isn't poking or scratching me. It's not soft. It's also definitely a visible bulge under clothing. It also requires readjusting if I'm going to be sitting vs standing vs laying down. That said, it does have a flatter profile than the other one I was using for a while, which was definitely not wearable under clothing for various reasons, even though that other one is a lot easier to put on. In any case, I'm able to sleep through the night without pain and no pain upon waking, which is a big relief, and much less pain throughout the day as well. I wish it were machine washable. That's a huge detriment for a disabled person. I haven't yet worn it in any scenario where I'll be sweating, and given the limitation on washing it, not sure if I will. But that sucks because usually if I'm sweating it means I'm doing an activity where I'd need the assistance of this belt. I also haven't had it long enough to speak to durability, so I'll update this review if anything noteworthy happens. tl;dr: 5 stars for pain relief, 3 stars for comfort and ease, 4 stars for ability to wear under clothing, 1 star for washability, 1 star for price. That's an average of 2.8 stars, rounded up to 3.

Don’t wait to try this belt!
If you are in any sciatic pain at all BUY THIS NOW! I know it’s pricey but dang if this belt doesn’t help tremendously. As a person with scoliosis, hyper mobility in my joints, plantar fasciitis, and prior foot surgeries etc., I can honestly say this belt is the only thing keeping me physically upright and able to move right now. By no means is this device a substitute for professional medical care but it may be the help you need to get to medical treatment. You’re worth the cost, I promise!

Helped me heal
I had a subluxed/dislocated sacroiliac joint diagnosed by my physical therapy folks after a fall. I am somewhat double-jointed and prone to sprains. They'd given me exercises and stretches to put the joint back where it belonged and to hopefully keep it there, but I don't heal fast. Worse, I am a wheelchair user, and long periods of sitting tended to make that joint pop loose again. I actually took to wearing a steel corset-style waist cincher for help stabilizing my pelvis, which worked, but isn't the most comfortable option! I found this online and ordered it. It's a little tricky to get it on properly; I do recommend the manufacturer's videos, and maybe putting one foot up on a step if you're standing, to help you find the crease and get the belt on your pelvis properly. I wore it over leggings or light pants and under tunics and long shirts, and it was only a little ugly (it wasn't flattering to my fat, gave me more of a potbelly than usual). A long jacket or top will cover most signs of wearing it. For every day wheelchair use it seemed to be helpful. I had less pain both wearing it and afterwards. Then I took a long car trip which involved a lot of semi-strenuous mountain road driving. I figured I'd be a wreck when I got back - but the belt did its job! I had only a little pain after 8 hours of crazy mountain roads, and that's unusual even when I'm not recovering from a back injury. I'm finally healed up, in large part thanks to this thing. Hopefully I won't need it again. I was able to do most of my physical therapy exercises in it as well, and I think it helped. I wouldn't necessarily advise wearing it when your joint is in the *wrong* place or it will feel unpleasant - but if you can put your pelvis into the right alignment and then put the belt on, as I did, the belt will help keep things aligned all day long. I have a 40inch waist and this model did just fine for me. It was comfortably and supportively tight, it didn't cut off circulation or anything. It was comfortable for walking and sitting and driving. I did take it off to go to the bathroom and re-apply afterwards, but I didn't find it much of a nuisance - or its nuisance value was outweighted by how much pain it prevented.

Wow lower back and hip pain greatly improved
I was a little sceptical that this belt would work but on someone else's advice I got it. I have rheumatoid and osteo arthritis, both knees have already been replaced and will need hips done too this belt enables me to work all day with 70% less pain. It takes a bit to get it in the right spot but once you do WOW

Best low back pain assistive device
This belt is an incredible invention! People with lower back pain should definitely give this a try before resorting to things like chiropractic care and taking all sorts of prescription medications. Make sure you watch videos to learn how to properly wear this and in the proper spots, if you do you will feel the difference. The second I put this thing on, my back pain was virtually gone and my entire posture and body feels so much better. I cannot say enough good things about this belt!
