Unbelievably Great Out of the Box
Super easy to assemble and set up. Very user friendly. I had no difficulty with any aspect of this printer and found that if anyone had any questions, there are tons of youube videos explaining how to use it or get the most out of the unit. I switched from a Creality printer and found this Elegoo printer to have all the things that I had to upgrade on my old printer. The auto leveling, LED lights, super cooling for parts, Wifi connection, and a slicer that was built for this printer. The accuracy of the prints were completely on point without having to print multiple test prints and adjustments. I came ready to rock straight out of the box after assembly. There is nothing else needed to make this printer complete. Functions great, seems to be more durable than others in this size range. And speaking of size... the print bed is huge. You can make almost anything you could ever dream of with this machine. This will become a workhorse for me and likely anyone else that owns this model.

Excellent 3D printer after tuning and bed leveling.
Highly recommend this 3D printer for the quality, ease of set up, and most importantly the size. I have a smaller printer that is great but quickly found the items I wanted to print would not fit with the 180x180x180 build volume. I watched and read several reviews and selected the Neptune 4 Plus during a sales event. Assembly was easy with the included video and then 'tuned' everything based on more videos. Most important for me was the Klipper manual screw tilt adjustment which took some time zeroing in the bed leveling knobs but worth it. No issues with all of my prints using PLA and PLA+/fast. I hope to test PETG, ASA, and others soon and only wish this printer had an AMS for multi-color (like my other printer). For the price I am happy with this selection!

JUNK, GARBAGE, STAY AWAY!
I'm giving it 1 star because negative stars aren't available. Worked OK for a while then it stopped working, that's when the fun began. Waiting on emails from China, then waiting on parts from China. Still not working. So now they refer me to Assembly videos on YouTube. JUNK

Great machine especially once you get to know it.
I have had this machine for over a year, and at first it was hard to understand it, but practice and using Bambu studios as the slicer, it prints excellently. If you are a tinkerer you will like this machine, but then again you have to tinker with higher priced 3d printers. I do suggest getting an enclosure for it that will cut done on dust build up.

Not for beginners
I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who is a beginner. I've been printing from a little while and I'm still unable to get this machine to print well. I just can't seem to get the mesh balanced enough for a good first layer which causes faults on larger prints. **UPDATE** The numbers on the level screen tell you if you are lower or higher then the level bed mesh. Negative means lower and positive means higher. You need to make sure your variance is less than .2 the guarantee a good solid first print layer. My variance is .16 at the moment and all of my layers are a negative number to make sure one side isn't higher then the "level" bed mesh. I had issues when one side was a slightly positive number. Also, make sure you are always checking you Z level, cleaning your print bed, and performing a auto level after a few prints. Most machines do a auto bed level before a print, and I can't seem to make this machine do that. If your level goes off just a little, it will cause you to have a not so good print. Clean and level often. Elegoo's customer service is great. If you are having an issue, just reach out to them and give them a moment to fix your issue. Also, buy from their website directly. I found out their price is lower then Amazon.

Functional
(correction) Item came with minor defects, such as re adjusting the magnet in the controller. Getting this item may take some minor repair work to get up an running. Replacing the hot end on this can be annoying, as it varies from the MAX version of the printer.

Absolute beast!
Sheer workhorse printer. I’ve lost count on how many successful prints compared to failed ones. Usually failed prints are from my own settings. It’s a beast!

Busted belt…two times
Why did you pick this product vs others?: 3 print jobs after setting up and I already have the glob of death. The print jobs that I was doing wasn’t very big nor complexed. I don’t know if the extruder is salvageable. Only time will tell once I have this glob removed. Update 30JUNE2025 After being in constant communication with Elegoo, they sent me another print head after the photos that I’ve provided to them. Their customer service is top notch even though they are on another country. 06NOV2025 Another update…now early this morning, I was getting ready to leave to work and I have a print job that was in process. While I was downstairs getting ready, I heard the printer being louder than normal. I went back upstairs to see what was going on. I’ve noticed the bed moving but not the extruder. As I get closer, I’ve seen the vet dangling. Not only did this mess up my print job, I have to buy another belt….again. Yes this is the second time the belt snapped. I checked in and around the area and nothing sharp or anything. The second part to this, I was in constant communication with personnel from Elegoo. Due to the mishap that I’ve had a few months ago, they sent me a brand new extruder to which I’ve installed, operated and couldn’t be more happier. Now the aggravated part about this is that the other part of the deal was to receive a roll of PLA. They sent one off, didn’t notify me about it until it was too late. A few days gone by and they’ve inquired about it and I told them I have not received anything. If I had tracking information then I would’ve kept an eye out. They sent another and this time they did provide tracking information. When it got delivered, the location of the delivery was about 5-10 miles away from me. I’ve explained to them that the first time was a fluke, but to have 2 miss deliveries in a row, that’s an issue on their part. They said that they will investigate. For this, I’ve dropped it down to 1 star. My previous 3d printer literally ran almost the whole year with replacing this and that. Do your due diligence and be sure to pick your battles.
