This 1/2 in worked on my super baby fine thinner hair!
I am still amazed I bought this for less than $20 and it is exactly what I needed to finally keep some curls or waves in my super baby fine thinner hair that comes just to the top of my shoulders. It heats up fast. I didn't use the turbo setting as I don't need that for my baby fine hair. I didn't use any product for testing this out - just clean blow dried hair. Your hair should be dry! I'd imagine with some product I'd have different results. My hair didn't have any 'crimps' in it - I was afraid of that since I've had clamp curling irons in the past that left a crimp. I left out the last inch or two at the ends of my hair and then wrapped the rest around - don't wrap too tight or it'll be a bit more difficult to release the curl as you won't be able to open the clamp very easily. I didn't burn myself. There is a dial type thing to choose the heat - they do offer a guide. I used about 10 heat setting. One 'negative' is I wish the barrel was a little longer but it still worked fine for my shorter hair. If you have hair that's shoulder length or longer, the barrel may be too short. You can see from one of my photos to show that the tip is about the size or slightly smaller than my thumbnail - and I have small hands. Just to give you an idea of the size of the 1/2 in. I didn't have any trouble with gripping it, though the small size is okay with my small hands. My curls were tight spirals - at first I was a little worried I'd look ridiculous with these tight spiral curls as my hair/face shape/hair length/age isn't right for tight spiral curls. However, I let my hair completely cool and then just used my fingers to loosen up the curls and it looked great. However, I thought, yeah okay, I've had curls look great before and they've fallen out after less than an hour - sometimes less than 15 minutes. But! with the very slim 1/2 in barrel and those tight spiral curls, when my hair did finally 'relax,' I had the cutest waves going on - nice 'deep' waves with some slight relaxed curls that gave my hair fullness--I could have left more curl in it had I stopped messing with it and had I used a bit of spray but I wanted to see what it would do with me just going about my business and every so often running my fingers through my hair. The waves lasted hours and hours. I then brushed out my hair and I still had some very loose more 'beachy' waves going on. I slept on my hair and the next morning I still had just a tiny bit of 'wave' - not anything defined or all over, but my hair was still full and thick looking. I am impressed. This 1/2 in size was just what I needed to lock in that curl or wave. And, again, once it relaxed, it was just how I wanted it. This small size is the secret for my difficult to curl and wave hair. I only left the curling iron in my hair about 12 seconds. I used different thicknesses of hair strands. It's also important to give your hair time to completely cool and 'lock in' the curl - if you have super baby fine hair like I do, the tight spirals will relax so don't worry if you don't like the look of the tight spiral as they will relax. If you do like the tight spirals, maybe try some spray to lock them in. I haven't experimented with it yet but I will. The cord length is enough for me - I didn't even undo the entire cord. I'd consider buying another one in a size or two up for when I just want a slight wave. At this price, why not? VERY happy with my order.

It feels sturdy in hand, and the half-inch barrel is perfect for creating tight, bouncy curls. The build quality is impressive, ensuring that it withstands regular use without any issues. **Heating Performance:** The curling iron heats up quickly, reaching optimal temperatures in just a few minutes. I appreciate the adjustable heat settings, allowing me to customize the temperature based on my hair type, which is essential for preventing damage. **Curling Efficiency:** The half-inch barrel is ideal for creating defined curls and waves, and I found that it holds the curls well throughout the day. The results are consistent, and I love how easy it is to achieve salon-quality curls at home. **Ease of Use:** The clamp is designed to hold hair securely without causing any pulling or snagging. Additionally, the lightweight design makes it easy to maneuver, even for extended periods. **Safety Features:** I appreciate the safety features, including an automatic shut-off function that provides peace of mind, especially if you tend to forget to turn off styling tools. **Overall Experience:** I highly recommend the Pond Double Cosmic Half-Inch Curling Iron to anyone looking to create beautiful, long-lasting curls. Works great on short thin hair
Works great on my momโs thin short hair. You can easily accidentally turn it off while using and itโs hard to read the writing. I put mousse on my momโs hair and let it dry before curling and it holds really good. It heats up well. Would buy again.

Treat Yourself, You'll Love It!!!
I wish I had purchased this item a long time ago. For years I have been purchasing a different brand of iron. After only a short period of time, the finish kept coming off. I thought I had been replacing them about once a year, and found lately it was every six months. My hair did not look good after I styled it and I thought maybe it was my hair products or something else. After I used this Conair Iron my hair came out so much better. My hair slid through the iron so nicely and curled so well that I was done with my hair in half the time. Since I am loosing my hair I am so happy to have found this iron that is so gentle on my hair. It has a double layer ceramic finish, and numerous heat settings. It is also very light weight, and the cord swivels easily. I ordered it in two sizes.

Heats quickly, well made
Very pretty narrow barrel curling iron. It heats quickly and does everything it's supposed to do. Well made, has held up well and I have nothing negative to say about it

Okay
I recently cut 12" off my very fine hair. I was looking for this size of barrel to add some volume, and it does it's job, BUT it was a bit of a pain. The clamp would not hold my hair into curl; it just kept falling out. It was very frustrating as the whole point of the haircut was to make it a quick fix in the mornings. I would have to take about a 2" section of hair to get the clamp to hold, but I wanted a bit more curls. Still looking for one that is a bit easier/quicker to use.

Works as a mustache curler, as well..
Totally not the target demographic, but somebody had to try it! Hopefully the picture shows up properly and please ignore the weird shiny reflection--there's no wax in my mustache or any other thing (eww.).. I've grown out a handlebar mustache a few times in my life.. Maybe every 4-5 years I get the bug to break out the wax.. (Shout out to Firehouse Mustache Wax.. It survives practically every weather or situation.. Though, buy it direct from them--it's less costly..) Anyway, it's always a challenge to get the mustache curled properly so it's symmetrical.. One side always wants to curve down because of the way I have to twist.. Looks like that's less of a problem, now! The 1/2" size works great.. While I briefly considered going with one of the many 3/8" sized wands out there, I went with Conair because they've always been solid and the smallest they offer is this 1/2", so far as I can tell. I tried it at the lowest setting before figuring I'd bump it up.. The mustache in the picture doesn't have any product in it, and it was done dry.. I'm sure fresh out of the shower it'll shape the hair even more properly.. After that, I'll grab the Firehouse Wacky Tacky and the hairdryer to melt it into the handlebar and I should be good all day!

Charging plug is not compatible with the UAE socket
The curlerโs charging plot is not compatible with our UAE socket and this is not mentioned anywhere. I donโt know what they will even sell them here knowing this. Very disappointing.

Just buy it
Just buy it. My ex fell in love with me again when he saw my curly hair. Lol. U know I have already bought 3 of them within a week of the first purchase! For my friends! I have had named brands curlers but they were either too heavy for me to hold or maybe I was not able to work with them! This one, Gosh! It is light! It is hot! I got the smallest curler because I knew my hair will open up the curls, so I needed the smallest and tiniest one so that it took a longer time for the curls to open! I didnโt use a fixer spray, I am sure if I had used one , it would look nicer! Anyway I was happy with the result as you can see in the pictures and videos. By the way it takes a very short time for it to gets hot and also a short time for the hair to get curled! So it will reduce the amount of damage that heat can cause to the hair! By the way, my hair color is also my art! I am not a professional though!
