Sennheiser Profile Wireless 2-Channel: Two Weeks In - Pro sound, zero faff!
I’ve had the Sennheiser Profile Wireless 2-Channel All-In-One system on my desk and in my bag for about two weeks, and here’s how it stacks up in real use. First impression: it’s a tidy, no-nonsense kit that removes friction from the moment you open the case. The footprint is small, pairing is near-instant, and the controls are exactly where you expect them to be. With two transmitters and a compact receiver, I could cover a seated interview, a quick two-person piece to camera, or grab a mix of voice and room tone without juggling extra boxes. Level setting is straightforward, and once dialled in I rarely had to touch anything mid-shoot. Sound quality is the headline. Voices come through clean and even, with clear mids and sibilance that stays natural. The noise floor sits low enough that I wasn’t fighting hiss when lifting quieter passages. With the included windscreens fitted, plosives were kept under control and outdoor pickups stayed usable. The wireless link behaved well in normal city and event spaces, and latency was low enough that monitoring felt natural and lip-sync stayed tight. Range was ample for handheld vox pops, short walk-and-talks, and most indoor setups. The “all-in-one” part genuinely saves time. I could run straight into a camera via 3.5 mm, then swap to a phone or laptop over USB-C without rethinking the rig. That meant I could film, jump onto a call, then record a quick guide track in the same session. The receiver’s screen is easy to read at a glance, and the on-body clips feel reassuringly solid. Everything fits into a small pouch, so it slides into a busy kit bag without taking over. Battery life handled a day of stop-start recording comfortably, and top-ups were quick whenever I had access to power, so I never felt range-anxiety about the meters. In practice, what stood out was how little I thought about it. I could focus on the conversation, framing, and light, because the audio side just got on with the job. For solo shooting, that’s gold. If you care about reliable voice capture, quick setup, and gear that doesn’t pick fights on location, this system makes a strong case. A few small notes from testing. Gain staging was easiest when I set the receiver to a sensible mid-level and trimmed the camera or phone input down, which kept peaks under control. The windscreens do their best work when seated snugly, so it’s worth an extra second to check they’re properly on before you hit record. And if you’re moving between very different environments, a quick test clip pays off - not because the system struggles, but because you can lock in a consistent tone across the day. Minor drawbacks: like any 2.4 GHz wireless, very congested RF environments can still cause the odd wobble, so good placement and line of sight remain smart practice. Also, if you specifically want headline features such as 32-bit float recording or deep on-device EQ, this leans toward a streamlined, get-it-done workflow rather than chasing every spec. Bottom line: after two weeks, I trust it. It’s a grab-and-go kit that sounds grown-up, travels light, and lets you get on with making things.

great value, compact and easy to use
I ordered this wireless microphone for my work as a content creator. I was immediately impressed by its small, compact size. All the tools are included in the case: the two microphones, charging adapters, and audio transmitters. The transmitters can be charged independently or via the device itself. Each microphone has a clip that allows you to easily attach it around your neck or to a wristband (depending on how you're using it). The sound quality is impressive, and the ambient noise reduction is very effective. The transmitter easily connects to a cell phone, computer, or compatible camera. Sennheiser is a well-known brand that has specialized in the world of audio for years, and this device is a perfect example of the quality of their products.

Superb sound and a uniquely designed case
What immediately catches your eye and sets this system apart is the case. It’s a completely different approach by the engineers in designing a product in this category. At first glance, the case might seem strange and impractical, but over time you get used to it — pulling out a microphone, receiver, or accessory becomes quick and easy. As for the sound — it’s simply excellent. I compared it with the DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic Mini, Hollyland Lark M2S, and the Sennheiser ME2 lavalier. I can confidently say this system sounds about 95% as good as the ME2. There’s a slight difference in the high frequencies, but the average ear might not even notice. Overall, I’d describe the sound as very rich and velvety, if that makes sense. It meets Sennheiser standards and sounds refined and professional. Oh, and one more thing — the system also supports 32-bit recording, but you may need to update the firmware if your unit shipped with an older version. You can check whether it supports 32-bit out of the box by recording a test clip and checking the file properties, or by looking up your firmware version on the manufacturer’s site. If needed, the update process is simple and takes no more than 10 minutes. Build quality of the case, devices, and accessories is excellent. The plastic is high-quality, though it does show fingerprints a bit. Still, that’s a minor drawback. And one last unique feature — you can use the case with the microphones inside as a handheld mic, for example, when doing street interviews — something you won’t get with any other system.

Sennheiser...still delivering audio brilliance
As an aspiring creator and one-half of the "2 screws loose" podcast (we’re aiming to be back after the summer), I was in the market for something functional that wouldn’t necessarily keep me/us at our desk but would allow us a little mobility and fluidity while on the road. I’d seen some good options in the wild and tried some clip-on mics, but the battery life wasn’t great. Then I stumbled on the Sennheiser Profile Wireless 2-channel all-in-one clip-on & handheld microphone system, and everything changed. The Bottom Line to point out here is that this is a brilliantly convenient and high-quality all-in-one system perfect for content creators who need professional wireless audio without any complicated setup. Literally plug and play. It offers the ultimate convenience, which is its biggest win. You get a fantastic desktop mic and a pro-grade wireless clip-on lavalier in one box. The ability to record one person with a solo mic (or one person with a backup mic) or two people seamlessly is a game-changer for streamers and podcasters alike. As I mentioned earlier, the Plug-and-Play setup is incredibly easy. You connect via USB, pair the wireless mic with one button, and you're ready to go. The tactile controls that it has are very intuitive. It has 16 GB of memory in each clip-on mic for up to 30 hours of internal recording. You can start/stop recording locally via a clip-on mic or remotely via the receiver, and it has ‘safety channel mode’ at lower volume to help protect against clipping. An underrated feature which becomes appreciated over time is the fact that you can activate ‘backup recording mode’ to automatically turn on internal recording if the wireless signal becomes weak. The sound, or to be more appropriate, “Superb Sound”, is fantastic. Both the built-in condenser mic and the wireless lavalier deliver the clear, rich, and professional audio quality Sennheiser is known for. I cannot emphasise this enough. It has a very premium build, and the entire system feels solid, durable, and looks great on camera, if one is recording with video. The only consideration I’d share for aspiring buyers would be the premium price tag it carries. This is a significant investment. You're paying for the convenience of a bundled, seamless system from a top-tier brand. But as Mama always says, “If you want convenience, you gotta pay for it". So, if the content you create requires a flexible, professional-grade wireless setup (e.g., for interviews, tutorials, or dynamic streaming) and you want to avoid the hassle of buying and configuring separate gear, this is absolutely worth the price. It's an all-in-one solution that just works. For a solo creator who only needs a single desktop mic, it might be overkill, but still worth considering if you can afford it.

Great versatility
Great microphone system with excellent adaptive capabilities, I have been using this with my lumix camera and the results are amazing. I produce videos with professional camera equipment and this setup is perfect, I use it handheld when doing something live. When I need to be hands free I clip a portable mic to my shirt and the receiver to the camera. I highly recommend this setup to anyone.

Works very very well
We needed to upgrade our churches lapel microphone system and we searched many different types before deciding on this one. We needed a microphone system that we could plug into our churches mixer and amplifier. It was so easy to set up and the transmitter and receiver worked perfectly straight out of the box. Only thing which would have been nice if it actually came with a small lapel microphone but I suppose you can buy one separately. This came in a case that can also be used as a charger and would definitely recommend it.

Great expansion system for small gigs or expanded productions
First use of this item made me realize I did not regret buying it. Sennheiser has been a mainstay in my video production bag for decades, this latest iteration brings the same quality you may come to expect in an ultra compact and well-designed kit. I am particularly happy with the case that stores every component you need nicely, and although a bit on the plasticky side, it seems robust enough to hold up to pro use. These are tiny, dare say, smaller than some other competitor brands. I can immediately say that they compare well with EDW system quality and are a nice add-on in the event you need extra microphones. I own four of the EDW lav systems, and the Profile 2 has held up well in sound quality when mixed together. DJI and RODE have similarly good quality, but the Sennheiser compatibility makes this a no-brainer for my particular set-up. One thing I have not been able to figure out is a non-functioning power button on the front of the device. When the receiver and transmitters are removed, they all work fine, but the mystery button on the case seems to have no function for now. The controls are insanely simple, with only a few items on the touch screen menu. These are a bit small, so you may have to use your pinky to actuate, especially if you have big hands like me. The value for the money is what made me buy this - good quality audio for under $250? yes please! The wireless connectivity was great at 10 yards in a room with much RF interference. Well worth the price to upgrade my audio bag with these tiny microphones, ultra-lightweight quality.
