Yarn is what I expected and easy to use. Variety of colors to use. I make Pom Pom’s and these skeins are perfect size l made a pineapple, strawberry, and 3 different sizes of Pom poms

These skeins are small, but perfect for the project that I am doing for a friend’s birthday present.

As advertised and it's exactly what I needed. Colors are vibrant and feeling as it should. 👍

The amazon photo showing the kit with the crochet needles IS to scale. The needles are actually that size compared to the yarn bons, but the yarns are packed 10 to a row, and look narrow as a result.. The little bons fluff back out nicely. They are beautifully colored and only slightly thinner than what I typically pick up at the local shop. The lack of information on the missing e-book links is annoying. I took off a star for that. Considering the number of mentions in other reviews, it's puzzling that Amazon hasn't asked the seller to correct that problem by now. The information needed to obtain the e-book/pamphlets should be delivered with the product or included with the description, NOT just mentioned in reviews. --- Youtube is still free and has thousands of non-political crafters posting adorable small projects that are perfect for these yarn bons ... Create and Enjoy! Less than a week after my order, which arrived in excellent time, I received an email directly from the seller that included 5 e-books files for download. Turns out they are cute and quick little booklets with 10 -13 easy crafty yarn and crochet projects in each one complete with pictures and instructions.

The yarn came neatly packaged and would make a very cute gift for a beginner. Thanks to other reviewers I am measuring the yarn before using it. I am making an afghan and each row uses 30 yards of yarn. I wanted a nice variety of colors and this set is perfect for that. I have only measured 7 of the colors so far. The longest was only 35 yards, the shortest was 26 yards. That one and one other were less than 30 yards so out of the 7 I can only use 5. That's not a very good average. One color had 3 knots, two had one knot and one was cut in the middle so I had to make a knot. So they are not correct in saying they are knot-free. Two of the colors had slubs that will be hard to work with. (Slubs are sections of yarn that are not tightly twisted, making them looser and thicker than the rest.) Like many other reviewers I did not receive information on downloading the free e-books. I didn't buy this set for them but it would have been easy enough to include a slip of paper with that information. Overall I am pleased with the colors, the yarn is of reasonably good quality, the crochet hooks are metal and the yarn needles and stitch markers are plastic. If the yarn length was really 40 yards I'd have added another star.

Bought when I started crocheting. I upgraded to yarn skeins quickly. This is great for starters. The yarn is thin and easy to work with.
