This electrolyte drink mix is pretty good, it's not as salty tasting as others i've had and the self carbonating aspect is unique. I will say it's not going to be like... a full on soda level of carbonation or anything, but there is a slight fizzy sensation that makes it more interesting to drink and that's good enough for me. I do like it best WITH a soda (what i've been doing is mixing it per directions and then pouring in a sprite. Is that cheating? Maybe. But does it make me drink more? Absolutely.) by itself the flavor is pretty nice, you can clearly taste the coconut flavor and just a hint of lime. The colder it is the better it tastes as well, so i highly recommend adding ice, and use a BIG bottle or glass. The first time i tried making it in a regular sized glass and it launched the lid off and drink/mix went everywhere.

The packets are easy to tear open and are quite small, and would be very easy to carry with you anywhere that you might need a little extra hydration and electrolytes. I mixed one up per the instructions on the packet, with 12 oz of cold water in a water bottle, and shook it up for a few seconds until it was well mixed. The instructions say to be careful when opening, and I opened the twist off top of my bottle slowly, as it was hissing sort of like shaken soda would, but not as forcefully. You definitely need to put this in a bottle that's several ounces larger than the amount of water you use. I took a sip and it had a pleasant, gentle fizz. It's not as fizzy as soda or sparkling water, but it's a nice refreshing level of fizz. The coconut lime flavor was good, and it had the balanced sweet/salty notes as is typical of electrolyte drinks. This is a great classic flavor combo. I like these much better than those bottled "ade" drinks that serve more or less the same purpose. At the time I'm writing this, this pack is priced at $18.99, or about $1.27 per serving, which seems reasonable to me.
