Didalo Protective Clam Cover with Fan for The Mevo Start, Avoid Exposure to Sun and Rain, Mini Fan Keep Mevo Start from Overheating During Hot Outdoor Games

Works as it should to protect my Mevo from the elements. I am in northeast Ohio so I have not used the built in fan for cooling yet.

Sound is slightly muffled.Does exactly what I was looking for. A case to protect it from the elements, either sun or rain. I like that I can see the recording LED and it's a snug fit. Although it's personal preference, I like that it's made of hard plastic rather than 3D printed.With a snug fit, the mic is covered and sound is slightly muffled. Depending on content, sometimes I leave the cover slightly open. Having a second close point would have been nice for this option. The case is a little hard to open when the camera is in it. Not a deal breaker but a tiny bit of a pain.Although the fan is very quiet when I plugged it in, the whir is noticeable when recording. If you are going to use the fan and care about recording the sound, I'd suggest getting a shotgun mic to mount in one of the cold shoe mounts.Normal USB-C wires fit through the wiring hole but it's a snug fit for the wires. It's about an inch of space behind the camera.

I like the concept, but I will be returning it. There’s not a real way to charge the Mevo unless you open it and then plug it up to charge. We have a fence attachment as well as the metal attachment for amigo, but based on the bulkiness of the outside of the cover, it is hard to get a good angle.

Bought the protective cover with the fan to keep the came cool on hot days out at the baseball fields. But it severs a double purpose keeps the camera dry when it rains a keeps it safe also if you happen to drop it.

This has kept my Gamechanger feeds running even in the HOT summer weather. The quality is great and the fit and functionality is as intended. I had a ball hit the camera once and this just popped open but didn’t break the quality is better than expected. The only downside is if you record with sound… you can hear the small included fan running. But at least it keep recording!!!

Does a good job of shading the camera but the wiring literally fell off the case within 3 months of just normal use, so now the fan cannot work and we are already having to replace it.

They fit the cameras well . They do help keep the cameras going longer but I guess I'm just in the wrong state for the cameras to last outside no matter what . These function the way they are supposed to . I do think that the design for the rear of the case could be adjusted . Getting charging cables in and out are difficult and when a camera needs a battery pack plugged in during a live broadcast easy access is important .

Easy to use

It works well and has good mounts for external mics and screw-in holders. The fan is fairly loud when you are using the internal mic, but having an external mic solves that problem. I would probably have liked a spot to put a USB battery pack if I'm going to have to run the fan, that would also save my battery pack from the elements. But that said, it's unlikely that you'll be running the fan and worried about rain at the same time. It's usually one or the other.
