Did exactly what I needed them to.
Took these out of the package and they went right into a lever gun, allowing me to safely practice loading and operating the gun at home. They also have a rubber backing where the primer would be to protect your hammer in an older rifle. The plastic is durable and the rounds are the exact size of the actual rounds.

Great for safe and responsible gun practice
I wanted a safe way to practice loading and unloading with a new handgun. This worked perfectly and allowed me to get familiar with my new gun while being safe and responsible at the same time.I will be buying more whenever I have a new gun.

Must email Gortar for updated tips
.30-06 Snap Caps have a good weight to them to simulate live ammo. The caps that came in the first time had the old tip size which has been updated. I emailed them about the issue because they the ejector would not grab them. Gordon from Gortar hooked me up with the new model tips and now they eject perfectly. I look forward to many years of use. Thanks again Gordon!

Great snap caps for .22 WMR
I recently bought an inexpensive bolt action .22 WMR rifle that is known to be very accurate, but also to have cycling issues until broken in. These are the perfect way to safely feed and cycle until the rifle smooths out and magazine settles in. I also use these to be able to safely dry fire my .22 WMR revolvers. They are well made, roughly the same weight as live ammunition and the plastic caps are replaceable.

quick and very useful when training. Like the metal vs the plastic version. Good buy!

Too Light
I bought these (9mm) to practice drawing and reloading with full magazines and not needing to have live ammo around. Have only tried in my Walther PDP so far and they load and cycle well, to include manual ejection. My only gripe is that they weigh .1 ounce less than a live round. These training rounds weigh .3 oz each. A live 115gr brass case round weighs .4 oz. (that's 25% heavier). A similar round with an aluminum case weighs .3 oz. (same as this product). While this may not seem like much, a 10 round mag with 115gr brass case ammo would weigh a whole ounce more than the training rounds. 20 round mag, 2 ounces, etc. This could make a difference in self-defense or competition as you're not training like you "fight".That being said, will the lighter weigh make a difference for most people? Likely not.
