Saving money
This was recommended by my plumber to keep drains clean and clog free. I use once a month in all drains to break up grease, hair, dirt and keep the plumber calls to a minimum. Very effective, no odor and easy to use.

Works great, with persistence
Fantastic product, it definitely works. You just have to be a bit persistent and you will eventually get results. I don’t have a working garbage disposal in the kitchen and I cook a lot and obviously wash a lot of dishes. In the past I have had to call a plumber to come and flush the goop from my kitchen and laundry room pipes. This product took over a week to clear up the buildup and then all of a sudden the water was draining fast with zero set backs. Highly recommend giving this product a go.

Bio- Clean Results
Very good for general once every month doses, but not for bad clogs in the bathtub pipeline. It wasn’t that strong in my experience.

Saved me hundreds of $$ in plumber cost
Bio-Clean worked very well in cleaning a partially blocked drain line with reocurring problems. The blockage occurs about 20-30 feet down the pipe going from kitchen sink to septic tank. I've needed to use a plumper to water jet this pipe about every 2-3 years. Using Bio-clean, the drain cleared out completely in about a week of daily use. Now, I apply once a week, let stand overnight ,and drain has remains clear. Great product and a real money saver.

it does work...
Hi, I'm chiming in because I have struggled with slow drains for 18 years at my house and I am liking bioclean. Here's my story, I live in a 100 year old house with very old galvanized tub and sink drain pipes that drain very slow because the inside of the pipes are caked with years of built-up sludge. About 2 years ago, I had a plumber cut out a 5 foot section of a 2" sink drain pipe and replace it because the galvanize pipe developed a leak (a small hole) from rot. When I did this, I personally saw that the passageway for water to drain in this pipe was about the size of a dime because of build-up inside of this 2" pipe. Snaking DOES NOT remove this sludge, the head of the snake just goes down the dime size path. Anyhow... I can't replace all the piping because 75% of my piping is hidden in walls and ceilings, so I decided to start using one of these products. I chose bioclean and I've been using bioclean for 2 years now and I finally see it working. The first year, the Bioclean creates a few blockages because it loosens the sludge and hair and that debris gets stuck in those dime size canals. Just like the directions say, a plunger usually forces the loosened debris through, sometimes I used a snake in that first year. However, it's been two years and I never snake anymore, so I am becoming a believer now too. it takes a long time (2 years!) for this good bacteria to really start eating through and loosen years of built-up sludge. I treat once a month. here's how I do it... I pour warm water into that cup they give you, and I stir in the dry bioclean and I let that warm cup with Bioclean sit on my counter for 20-25 minutes so these little critters can COME TO LIFE, then I pour the mix down the drain and try not to use that sink or tub for at least overnight (if not longer!) so the little critters can really build up their population and dig into the built up sludge and live within the sludge inside of the pipes. Whenever I go on vacation I do a treatment so it can REALLY build up in the pipes, while I am away. Unfortunately, liquid drain cleaners, bleach and things like mouthwash can kill the living bio-clean that are in your pipes so you have to keep that in mind and read all the paperwork they provide when you buy this stuff. This stuff does work, it's all about patience, using a plunger every once in a while during that first year and building up the population as well as doing it monthly and not killing the bacteria with household chemicals. Additionally, I think putting bioclean in a toilet is probably just wasting the product as you are simply flushing it down the drain at high speed into the sewer, you want to focus on sink and tub drains and for the bioclean to live and work (feast) within your sink and tub lines. It's been 2 Years and I'm finally starting to see results!

100% Successful On Toilets - Saved $300 On Plumbing
I really hesitated before buying this. It seemed too good to be true, but after realizing it's not an "As Seen On TV" gimmick, I bought it and am thrilled to report a 100% success. I went from a toilet that got clogged every single time it was flushed to never needing a plunger again! By the time I purchased Bio-Clean, I had to use a plunger EVERY SINGLE TIME my bathroom toilet was used - without fail. And it was taking more and more effort to plunge the drain. The last time I plunged the toilet, it caused sewage to back up out of the bathtub. Not even a 3-foot auger snake worked. I was about to call a professional rooter and pay $350 dollars to have them snake the drain all the way to the street - when I decided to try Bio-Clean. RESULTS WEEK 1: I applied Bio-Clean in the toilet and tub for six days before I tried using the toilet. Unfortunately, it still got clogged. However, I was surprised at how little effort it took to plunge the clog away. I was cautiously optimistic and continued using Bio-Clean for a few more days. RESULTS WEEK 2: The next time the toilet was used (12 days after starting) there was no clog. This was the first time in over a month. And every single time since, there have been no problems with the toilet drain. 1 flush and everything is gone. I used no other product nor did I try anything else during this time. Therefore, I can say with certainty that the only way I went from plunging every time the toilet was used to never having to plunge again was because Bio-Clean actually WORKS. I used a slightly different technique than indicated in the instructions that might have made a difference. The instructions recommend using warm water, because the natural bacteria in the powder (like most bacteria) works better in a warm environment: STEP 1: Pour about a gallon of HOT water down the toilet. It will automatically flush and helps warm the pipes. STEP 2: Follow directions and mix 2 scoops of Bio-Clean with warm water and pour down the toilet. STEP 3: Add another quart of warm water to force more of the bio clean deeper into the drain. I didn't want the Bio-Clean to just stay at the bottom of the toilet, nor did I want to just flush it all away, so I alternated between adding enough water to cause a small flush and adding less water to prevent a flush. STEP 4: Leave it alone overnight. The instructions say to use it every day for 5 days and then once a month. I had to use it for about 10 days in two weeks but I am still thrilled with the results. $50 is a lot of money, but there are about 150 servings of Bio-Clean in the tub. Imagine how much 150 bottles of Drano would cost. Even after 10 days, I have enough Bio-Clean left over to last years.

IT WORKS!! But it took a while to eat through the clog in our kitchen sink drain. We heard about Bio-Clean from a relative and found the best price on Amazon (still seemed expensive compared with the chemical cleaners but this stuff is not a chemical cleaner and will not harm your pipes). We had tried rodding the pipe but could not get the rodder into the clog. We read all the reviews on how to use Bio-Clean and started with 2 tablespoons in 32 oz. warm water as suggested. We treated the drain just before going to bed so as to give the bacteria in Bio-Clean time to soak into the clog before any water was run, that might flush them away. (I should say here that the clog was not total but a small trickle of water would still run down the drain). This is necessary to allow the Bio-Clean to coat the clog over the largest area. After the first week the drain went down slightly better but still backed up into the adjoining sink. Treatment was kept up for an additional 9 days. On the evening of the 10th day the wife called from the kitchen " There's a problem here". With a sinking feeling I went to the kitchen to find the drain completely clogged and backing up into the adjoining sink. Not good! I had read in some of the reviews that this might happen as the Bio-Clean did it's thing and the clog loosened and collapsed into the pipe. Plunging did not help as in the wall the drain pipe connects to a "T" which goes down to the main drain line and up to an air vent pipe. Plunging only pushed the water up into the air pipe, not down to break up the clog. I removed the trap under the sink and ran a 1/4 inch hand rodder into the pipe, around two 90 degree elbows and a 45 degree elbow and up to the "T" in the wall. There was a 50/50 chance the rodder head would turn and go down the pipe and into the clog. A prayer was said and rodding was continued. After running the entire 6 foot length of the rodder into and out of the pipe, not knowing if it turned up or went down the pipe, the trap was reconnected and another prayer was said. The sink was filled with water and the drain plug removed. Voila, success!! The water went down with a great whirlpool and sucking sound. No backup in the adjacent sink. The Bio-Clean had digested the clog to the point where it collapsed into the pipe and was loose enough for the rodder to penetrate it and push it down the pipe and out to the main drain line. Don't give up after only a few days. Give it time to work on the clog. Although our bathtub drain goes down O.K I will be treating it next as a preventative measure. I would definitely recommend Bio-Clean to clean out your drains and keep them free from clogs. I will be purchasing another container of Bio-Clean when this one runs out to have around for maintenance treatments. I use about 1/2 of the 2 lb.container during my treatment.

Works, but Not the Easiest to Use
The Bio-Clean Drain Septic Cleaner seems to be working, but it’s not very easy to use. Mixing and applying the powder takes more effort than I expected. I think it helps keep the drains clean, but I personally prefer the liquid version — it’s simpler and more convenient.
