but churning out like I am an old pro
Exactly the upgrade from a Foley I was hoping for. Blueberries, boysenberries, apples, etc. ... Only had it a few weeks, but churning out like I am an old pro. (This is for both the Roma base strainer and the 4 piece accessory). Pro: - Easy assembly and cleaning - Suction works great on my tile counter - Cranking is easy and smooth - Speed is amazing - I have saved so many hours of processing time by not having to worry about cores or stems or seeds... I can't even quantify it - Everything seems durable. 6 heavy uses of multiple fruit types, no issues - Holy cow tomatoes are easy Con: - When running large batches, have to remove the drain shield from time to time in order to scrape the screen clear of buildup or clogging - just scraping outside clear with a silicone spatula - Drain shield is annoying to get on and off - The cone for funneling out the refuse/peels/etc. is hard to attach/remove. I expect the little tabs to break fairly soon - Clamp can be a bit dicey if suctions doesn't work (requires a large counter lip to work) General notes: - Run the refuse a few times. For applesauce, I run them twice. Blueberries, once. Adjust as needed - Best for big batches, not small one. If you are doing 12 half pints of jelly or 12 pints of applesauce .. This is what you need 100% love and recommend it.

Roma Tomato Strainer 4 piece accessory kit
I purchased the Roma Tomato strainer at a great price last winter for use in making tomato puree from my home grown tomatoes. Recently I purchased the Roma Tomato Strainer 4 piece accessory kit for use with the strainer to simplify the work in making salsa, crushed tomatoes and chunky applesauce. Amazon had the best price I could find for this accessory kit. No more canned foods for me! I can also process other vegetables and fruits. I am so glad that I bought the 4 piece accessory kit which adds even more functionality to the strainer. This product is so easy to use!! I can now process and freeze my orgnically grown produce and make so many sauces and foods. I can control the ingredients used in my foods so they won't have harmful preservatives in them. I received my purchase from Amazon on time and in perfect condition. Thanks Amazon!!

Exceptional product
These accessories for the Tomato Press make the job of canning tomatoes, apples, and anything you want in a sauce or chunk form an absolute breeze. They are also super easy to clean. I highly recommend this product.

Good for salsa and pretty good for berries.
I like using my Roma food mill for tomatoes but wanted to be able to remove blackberry seeds, so I bought this kit, not really planning to use the other screen sizes. But you never know, and it was cheaper to buy them as a set instead of buying just one screen and later deciding I might want another one. As it turned out, the day it arrived I had just picked a huge amount of really small Roma tomatoes and thought I'd try out the salsa screen. I usually just chop up the ingredients by hand for the chunky texture I like, but if this gizmo worked, what a time saver it would be! At first I was a bit disappointed. The pulp didn't look very chunky. In fact it looked a lot like the pulp from the regular tomato screen, but with seeds left in. But when I made the salsa it turned out to be just right. In fact my DH liked it better than the 'regular' kind I make! Maybe because the flavors blended better with the softer texture. Note - I ran the 'discard' pulp through again, the skins and hard stem ends were removed beautifully by the way, and got a LOT more pulp, but twice through was all it needed. On to the berries! I had two quarts of canned wild blackberries that I'd been saving but hadn't used because I don't like all those seeds. I've removed the seeds before by pressing the pulp through a strainer and it just wasn't worth the effort, time or mess, so I had high hopes for this screen. The berries were canned in their own juice, so I strained that out first. However the first 10 - 12 times I ran the pulp through the mill all that came out was more juice! Plus the juice leaked out from the handle and dripped on the floor. I guess it wasn't made to handle that much juice? (no pun intended) I lost count of how many times I ran the pulp through but I did finally start getting some very nice, completely seedless, useable pulp. I kept running the pulp through until it was entirely squeezed dry. In fact until it was so dry that the pressure popped the screen off of the mill! I wasn't real happy about that, but at least I knew it was time to stop! The salsa screen I would give a score of 5, the berry screen a 4, and I haven't tried the squash screen or grape press. I'll try using the berry screen with fresh berries, that might make a difference. And overall it was much easier than pushing the blackberries through a strainer! Maybe not a timesaver but much less work and cleanup. Other notes - The screens were easy to clean with a bottle brush. Each screen came with its own thin, clear plastic 'washer' already in it, which I didn't expect and didn't see with the first one so I almost lost it when it dropped out and on to the floor! But I like having the extras, just glad I saw it fall and rescued it before the cats found a new toy!

Just keep it clean, it will serve you for a lifetime.
I am a life long gardener, so this product gets a real workout every year. I have processed many, many batches of tomatoes over the years and it just keeps on running...like that bunny that gets all the publicity.

Great add-on
Bought these to go with my food strainer. Used the first tine to make salsa and let me tell you it came out perfect! The size of the salsa blade made the job so easy and fast. Would most definitely but again, the price I paid could not be beat!

Nice selection of sizes
Fantastic. Just used large salsa screen. This hooks on directly, the plastic screen (which is impossible to remove) stays with original screen. No need to core or skin tomatoes.

food strainer
good bit of kitchen kit, It does all the work when making Red Pepper and Tomato soup. The only minor downside is the amount you have to scrape out at the end as it leaves a fair bit trapped.Apart from that it really is great

Impressed
So far I am very impressed. I used these with the Weston Roma sauce maker. Along with the strainer that came with the kit I have processed grapes for grape juice and tomatoes for sauce. As an avid gardener and food processor I can see many, many uses for these products. While not perfect (I had to run my grapes through twice) they have still reduced my processing time by a very significant amount. They have excellent, easy to understand instructions and clean up is relatively easy. The price is the best part. I could spend hundreds more and end up with, perhaps, a slightly easier to use machine, but the end result would be the same. I definitely recommend.
