It works well!
I originally bought this because I needed to add a better gripper to an outlet plug that was difficult to pull out, and so I wrapped a small piece of this putty epoxy around it and let it set, and it has been working fantastic! It is very easy to use and knead together, and the black and white layers blending into a uniform gray was very helpful for letting me see how well blended they were. The black outer part does leave a slightly oily black residue on my fingers but washing it with dish soap and wiping my hand with a paper towel gets it all off. It dries to a dark gray almost black color. Before the putty sets there is a slight smell to it, but once it hardens there is no smell or any kind of residue. In addition to creating a cord grip, I also used some of this putty to seal a hole that was on the side of a metal watering can, and repaired a terra cotta plant pot that broke in half. So far both have held together with no problems. This is something I will happily buy again.

It fixes everything, but brings the mess
I broke the ceramic handle off my favorite coffee mug. A tragedy. I bought this epoxy putty to perform surgery. The Process: You cut a slice off the stick. You knead it with your fingers until the two colors mix. The 4-Star Warning: You must use moistened bare hands to mix. If you use dry hands, it sticks to your skin like it is trying to become part of your body. If you use gloves, it sticks to the gloves. You have to keep your fingers wet. It’s a messy, slimy process. The Result: Once mixed, I applied it to the mug. It hardened in 5 minutes. It is now stronger than the original handle. It’s ugly (grey blob on a white mug), but it works.

it did not work for me
I need an epoxy that will bind two pieces of plaster together. I followed the instructions and kneeded the piece of epoxy until it turned grey. It was a hard process because the material is extremely hard so it took more than three minutes to get the epoxy grey while my fingers turned black. It glued nothing and fell of the plaster. Next i will try liquid epoxy but this brand of epoxy is very difficult to use and I do not recommend.

Reliable classic, still the best!
This epoxy putty has been around for years, and it still works great. It sets up rock solid and is perfect for quick fixes. I like that it comes in a compact tube—you just tear off what you need, knead it to activate, and apply. No mess, no fuss. It’s a must-have in any glove box, saddlebag, or toolbox.

Hard to mix satisfactorily
The putty was not as soft & easy to blend as I expected. It was very difficult to mix to a point where it was workable. Hands were stained black during the folding process & I had a difficult time removing the putty stains. It seemed to be too dry to mix & fold properly. I managed to make my 1”x1” patch but it turned out rough.

This product is supposed to be fast setting, waterproof, and heat resistant — but it can’t do any of that if it’s already cured inside the packaging. There was no way to mix or activate it because it had clearly passed its usable shelf life. An epoxy stick should be workable once opened, allowing you to knead the inner and outer components together to start the curing process. In this case, that wasn’t possible at all. I purchased this specifically for a repair project and ended up wasting time because I had to source a replacement elsewhere. If you are considering buying this, I strongly recommend checking the expiration date immediately upon arrival. Epoxy products have a limited shelf life, and once they expire, they are essentially useless. Unfortunately, my experience was that the product did not perform as described due to being expired and fully hardened.
