As a carpenter I have a few metal rules, I often get frustrated by the unnecessary sub millimetre markings within the first 3cm and inches on the other side. This has two sides of metric, one with 0.5mm markings and one with whole mm. Lovely little ruler that gets plenty of use.

I’ve been buying cheap, small rulers for years and never found one that was well-made. Either the measurements were off or they didn't start right at the edge. Recently, I learned about this ruler through Reddit. If you are looking to buy a small ruler, this is the one to get. It is extremely accurate and incredibly well-made. You can actually feel the quality when you hold it in your hand. I was surprised it's so affordable. I'd definitely like to get the longer versions in the future.
