Ethernet Window Entry Cable | for Starlink, 4G/5G, and WiFi | CAT6A Ultra-Flat, High Performance Passthrough Cable | Weatherproof

This was a real time saver and worked out great. I wasn't using it for the intended Starlink setup — I simply wanted to run standard Cat6A Ethernet from inside the house through a window and out to an outdoor router installation. I agree with others that it's a little expensive, especially since flat Ethernet cables can accomplish something similar. However, I liked having the waterproof connections, and overall it saved a lot of installation time. I did run into two issues. My Cat6A cable had a booted connector, so I had to cut off the rubber boot and trim a little from the side of the connector to get it to fit. Also, the included rubber O-ring would not fit over the cable connector without hurting myself, so I cut a small slice in the rubber so it could slip around the cable. It still seemed to make a good seal, but I added silicone just to make sure everything was sealed tightly. All in all, it worked out great.

I bought this for a Yarbo yard care system. The Yarbo system is a satellite driven totally autonomous lawn mower and snowblower and cost many thousands of dollars, so the price of this is negligible, and still a very good value for the money for what it can do. The Yarbo is accurate to within 1 cubic centimeter, (Yes, even blowing your snow) so it needs lots of satellites. Even with all that money spent, Yarbo still requires a CAT 6 POE (Power Over Ethernet) connection. They even send you a 330 foot CAT 6 cable to run it on, and a POE injector strong enough to push it. Even if it was on Wi Fi, you'd still have to power it up, so this system is just fine. Just a little more of a hassle because it has to plug into your network router directly. And it has to get to the router one way or another. POE makes that kind of final. The main problem? Getting it inside. I have a very large network inside a Wi Fi envelope with two Wi Fi access points. One in the front of the house and one in the back. Together, they run about 40 devices from my television to my door locks. Both share the same name so they act as one network and are interchangeable to the main network. Off one branch of the main network, I have a bay window on the back of the house. A CAT 6, 50 footer reaches Yarbo from there. And on a shelf in the picture window is a wired Wi Fi access point that covers the back yard. The Cat 6 that runs it is under the floor and connects directly to my 14 port rack mounted central router to the house, my main network. I have hardwired nodes all over the house. The Access Point also has a 1gig X 4 port router built into the back of it, which is hard wired, and why you don't buy the cheapest access point. This seemed like the perfect place to plug Yarbo in and sure enough, it was. It gave the Yarbo a direct connection from the pole outside where it sits, to my main network, in one hard line with a 1 gig boost in the middle of it. Without using wireless. Yarbo supplies the POE adapter and that's the only break in the line. And all this is possible because of this 65 dollar Waveform window adapter kit. Unless I want to drill a hole in my house not even knowing if Yarbo might have to be moved, no thanks. Nice Job Waveform! This window entry cable adapter works very well and sure beats drilling holes in your house. And Yarbo immediately picked up 90 satellites. (it maps it and I counted them) Out of the 90, it'll use about 20 for positioning. That's what it's supposed to do, and that's what it did. This adapter easily slipped through a new casement window that is part of the bay window, I half expected it to cut it in half. But it didn't even notice it and cranked shut with no resistance. (what?) I was also able to put the screen back on with no hassle or damage as well. Too easy. One thing: You may have to trim the connector rubber easy tabs off the Cat 6 exterior plug for the plug to fit through the exterior housing. It's bare minimum in size. It could be a size bigger if you want to nit pik. But no matter: If you need to get CAT cable outside and don't want to drill holes in your house, Or if you need CAT/POE outside for security cameras, StarLink and such, this is definitely the way to do it. You could put these all over your house, only limited by the size of your network. Also; as far as I'm aware, ghost ribbon does not do POE. I highly recommend the Waveform Ethernet Window Entry Cable. Money well spent. Danny J.

Does exactly what it advertises, bought a second one! Speeds have been acceptable and no apparent difference when the window is closed.

Worked fine for a couple months but then unplugged to change setup location and it stopped working. When will we figure out a way for our cables to not be so fragile?

So far so good! Does exactly what I needed for a rental. Was able to close my window and screen over cable. Time will tell if it holds up. Only small complaint I have is the price, but seems like a niche item so it is what it is. Would also be nice if they included a small cable you’re gonna need to go from the inside port to the starlink router. My speeds are great so far, granted I haven’t tested my speeds without this entry cable so take that for what it is.

This worked wonderfully. Didn't have to make a hole in wall. Just threaded through screen, closed it, & plugged attachments. Starlink works well with this.

Ich habe vorher ein anderes, deutlich günstigeres Fensterdurchführungs‑Kabel ausprobiert, und das war für meinen Starlink‑Einsatz komplett unbrauchbar. Es wurde nicht gequetscht oder beschädigt – es hat einfach gar keine Verbindung geliefert. Starlink bekam darüber kein Signal, egal wie ich es angeschlossen habe. Billiger ist eben nicht immer besser, und in diesem Fall war das sehr deutlich. Das Wellenform‑Kabel ist preislich natürlich eine ganz andere Liga. Ich finde den Preis ehrlich gesagt ziemlich hoch. Aber ich wollte nicht ewig weitersuchen, nachdem das Billig‑Kabel komplett versagt hat, und habe dieses hier einfach ausprobiert. Und das war die richtige Entscheidung. Das Kabel funktioniert genauso, wie ich es brauche. Das extrem flache Design passt problemlos zwischen das Fenster, ohne Spuren zu hinterlassen. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig, und die Wetterschutzkappe am Außenstecker schützt den RJ45‑Stecker zuverlässig vor Regen und Feuchtigkeit. Bisher gab es draußen keinerlei Probleme. Ich nutze das Kabel aktuell nur für die reine Datenübertragung, also ohne POE. Die Verbindung ist stabil und zuverlässig. Ich mache regelmäßig Internet‑Speedtests, und dabei konnte ich keine Einbrüche oder Auffälligkeiten feststellen. Eine interne LAN‑Geschwindigkeitsmessung habe ich nicht durchgeführt, aber für meine Nutzung funktioniert das Kabel absolut sauber. Wenn man kein Loch in die Außenwand machen will oder darf, ist das hier eine super Lösung. Ja, günstig ist es nicht – aber für mich war es das Geld wert.

I needed to mount a PoE camera outdoors. Didn't fancy drilling through the 600mm external wall, so I used one of these. Its well made. Very flexible with good quality glands and waterproofing.

Works as it should be the oring had to be broken for installation other than that, everything is good

Ich nutze die Flachverbindung für meine Starlink-Antenne auf dem Balkon seine nun ca. 3 Monaten ohne Probleme. Der Preis ist schon ordentlich, aber dafür funktioniert der Verbinder.
