Little Monitors With Massive Sound
Replacing a single bluetooth speaker on my work office desk that has served faithfully for more than ten years. I have Adam Audio A3X on my desk at home connected via XLR to an external dac, so hoped that these would be as effective on my smaller work office desk. In the box: two speakers, two stands with rubber bases, usb c cable with adapter (for connecting to non-c usb ports), 4 pin din cable for connecting the speakers, extra rubber pads for using on base of speakers if the stands aren’t used. Setup: very straightforward. Connect speakers with the din cable and connect speakers to laptop via usb cable. Plug in power supply. Switch using button on front of left hand speaker. The speakers are recognised by Windows 11 as “ADAM Audio D3V”. In use: I use these for Zoom or WhatsApp calls as well as listening to music and podcasts. The source is selected by pressing the knob twice on the left speaker. This selects either analog ( solid green) or digital (solid blue). One can also swap channels L to R) by pressing three times. Muting is achieved by pressing once (the indicator turns yellow). There is a 3.5mm headphone output on the front of the left speaker I won’t use as my laptop headphone output works fine. Sound: the x-art ribbon tweeters offer very clear highs and the woofers combined with the passive radiators on either side offer more than sufficient bass. These are designed for near field use and in that role they are proving excellent. Wide sound stage, good stereo imaging, vocals are clear, sufficient bass. For small speakers they put out a huge sound. I doubt I’ll ever use them at louder fan half volume! Aesthetics: these are small speakers but are perfect for use on a desktop. Though made of ABS plastic, they are solid and heavy. I think they look good and sound excellent. Value: these are not cheap speakers but I think they represent good value. I am using them straight from the usb port on my laptop. For me there is no need for an external dac, though that option is there for the future though I doubt the additional cost would bring much more sonic joy! Negatives: there is no bluetooth, so if that matters to you, avoid them. The speakers turn off after twenty minutes if there is no sound input, though this is going to be changed via a firmware update at some point in the coming months. No subwoofer output, but for my purposes these put out enough bass already. Conclusion: I am enjoying these immensely and anticipate them serving me well in the coming years.

Compact Size, Big Sound — A Brilliant Choice for Editors and Creators
The options for truly high-quality bookshelf speakers in this size are quite limited. For me, it really came down to two models: the ADAM Audio D3V and the Genelec 8010A Studio Monitor. Given the significant price difference and my budget, I didn’t have much of a choice — but that actually turned out to be a good thing. These relatively small, but heavy speakers perform exceptionally well in my setup. The inclusion of balanced connections and USB-C makes them ideal for anyone seeking high-quality input — whether working with or without an external audio interface — or needing a portable option. As a video editor, I can say the neutrality and honesty of this pair are phenomenal. I ran several audio tests and compared the results across TV sets and other playback systems — and I’m genuinely impressed. You can absolutely trust these speakers to reproduce exactly what you feed them, which is what matters most. The clarity, punch, bass, and output volume are far beyond what their size suggests. I can’t recommend them enough — not just for their great value, but for their professional-grade quality. If you’re short on space, like me, and need a true-to-source studio monitor, this should be your first choice.

Absolutely superb straight out of the box...
I've bought these as I've minimised my system in my home-office from JBL 308Ps on large Atacama stands; fed via my MacBook and standalone SMSL DAC, and wanted decent speakers that would happily sit on my desk; but that weren't 'stereo' speakers that are always coloured in their sound, but also speakers that looked good... The ADAM Audio D3Vs do just that and they do it really, really well! Cannot believe how good they sound from the off; literally unpacked, connected and started to play some music and immediately sat there with a stupid grin on my face enjoying music in a near-field set up again I went from The Hu, to Elderbrook, to SOAD, to Daft Punk, to Frank Sinatra to Snarky Puppy and they took it all in their stride. The bass punch they kick out is amazing for their size; it's deep, taut, punchy but with no chuff that you'd get from similar speakers with the standard bass port. The passive radiators on the ADAMs are amazing and they're well controlled I haven't pushed them too hard yet; but wouldn't need to either; they go hell of a lot louder than I expected and they got my office vibrating in no time (the last thing I want is my Lego falling over; took me ages to build that)...! IF you're after a small footprint set of speakers that will blow any 'PC / hifi desktop speakers' out of the water, get these. They're that good!

Outstanding Sound Quality in a Compact Package
Lovely, accurate sound. I bought these as an upgrade from the Audioengine A2+ speakers, and they’re a big step up in terms of audio quality, scale, and depth. They have a really nice, flat frequency response. The ribbon tweeters are a fantastic feature in desktop speakers at this size and price point. They’re excellent studio monitors if you don’t want your speakers to take over your desk.

Really good monitors - considering price and size, these are amazingly good.

Good except for some hiss
I've been spoiled by some very nice speakers in the past, but I wanted something smaller/simpler for my computer & these fit the bill nicely. They sound good enough & have a remarkable amount of low end for such small cabinets (the manual claims 48Hz at -3dB which I can easily believe). My only real complaint is that there is a fair bit of audible hiss from the tweeters, which is disappointing for near field speakers. Other observations * the white speakers come with black cables * the included USB cable isn't overly long (but you can use any regular USB cable) * you can't disable/dim the LED on the front of the left speaker * mine already had the updated firmware that allows you to disable sleep mode, should you wish * when using USB input they will thump if you turn your computer on/off, as that cuts power to the DAC inside the speakers

You won’t be disappointed
Been lusting after these for a while, was skeptical about the size but after watching some reviews I decided to pick them up. First impressions, packaged very compactly, comes with all the cables required bar the audio ones (and they are plenty long enough for different types of desks). The speakers feel dense and premium, and the room adjustment on the back is very useful for all different setups. Setup was very simple, there are rubber feet along with stands to tilt the tweeters to ear level. The sound: I was absolutely blown away the first time I put something on, the clarity, the bass response all exceeded my expectations. These are an absolute upgrade from my Presonus 3.5 I was using previously. Now since these are made primarily for production, they have a flat frequency response, but general listening is fantastic, no rumbling, no harsh frequencies. And I’m sure once they’re properly broken in, they’ll sound even better! Cons: The standby mode that comes on when there’s no sound is a tad annoying but I’ll get used to it The stands are fiddly, if you move the monitors with them on they’ll most likely fall off. Overall though they are 10/10, the price, the functionality and the sound are excellent.

Impressive and convenient if you're short on desk space.
To be fair, I bought these firstly because I wanted a pair of compact desktop computer speakers first, and as professional audio monitors second. As audio monitors, I've not really compared them with anything else, and clearly they aren't going to be as good as more expensive monitors with a bigger footprint, but so far, I'm very impressed. They are clear at all frequencies, with plenty of detail, and an impressive but not-overwhelming bass. But as general purpose computer speakers, these are just fab. The sound is big and full, and they go LOUD without distortion. However, it's the "little things" that make these special. You can swap left and right at the touch of a button. There's a volume control on the front, but you can still control the volume from the computer too, even when connecting via USB. The headphone socket is a nice bonus too.

Incredibly sound in and small format
Is incredible how this monitors sound…I heard others Adam’s studio monitors and this ones really surprised me by his size and quality even the bass is more defined that the KRK Rokit series and HS Yamaha series…This are not mixing monitors, for production are perfect. I was closer to buy the iLoud’s but this one’s sounds very similar or equal, cannot say better cuz is question of taste but I like this more.

TOP!
