Sports Island 2 (Wii)

I decided to get this one without having bought the previous version. I had actually read other people's comments, but still thought it would be worth it, as it was on a price reduction.So first the bad things; I find the music really irritating. I wouldn't mind if it was just during the set-up and ancillary sections, but it continues on through the games themselves. (I think that this is something that is put in for the Japanese market, as they seem to like that.) It also doesn't use the Miis stored on the Wii but has it's own characters; a bit of shame, but not something that I would be that bothered with. I also found that in some of the games, it doesn't quite seem to respond properly; occasionally, there will be a delay, on other occasions, it reacts a bit too quick. But there doesn't seem to be any consistency in that.Having said that, the games are great fun, whether you play on your own or as part of a group. Particularly like the dodgeball & ice hockey games and am getting quite good at those!I will still stay that I am pleased that I bought it, but certainly don't think it is one of the best games out there.

Great range of sports that you can play for fun. My favourite was synchronised swimming but I was best at darts.

My Grandsons are never of it, they love everything about it and once on, boy is it a job getting them of it.

This is quite good with a few ifs and buts. Mostly there isn't anything I felt that made it stand out from other similar games, possibly Ptanque though on occasion that can drag on.Overall this game is worth 3 starts but for what it's worth it's much closer to 4 than 2!!Possibly a little over-priced too (£26 when I reviewed it)

Bought this on a whim along with a console a week earlier.Best laugh we've had for ages.Take it with us on any weeknds away where it's possible to use a console.
