One of my favourite chunky styled chips
These steak cut chips are a solid freezer staple and work particularly well if you prefer a chunkier chip with a bit more bite than standard fries. Out of the oven or air fryer, they cook up with a good balance between a crisp outer edge and a soft, fluffy centre. The thicker cut means they take a bit longer than regular chips, but that extra time pays off in texture. When cooked properly, the outside develops a light golden crispness while the inside stays soft without going dry. Flavour wise, they are fairly neutral, which is expected for frozen chips. There is a mild potato taste that comes through, but they really rely on seasoning. A bit of salt straight after cooking makes a noticeable difference, and they pair well with anything saucy like burgers, grilled meats, or even curries. One thing I noticed is that they cook more evenly in a single layer. If they are crowded on the tray, they tend to steam slightly and lose some crispness, so spacing them out improves the final result quite a bit. From a value for money perspective, the 1.2kg bag is quite generous and works out well for multiple meals. Compared to eating out or takeaway chips, they are a much more cost effective option, especially if you already have an air fryer or a decent oven setup. They feel like good value for what they are, particularly given the portion size and how filling they are per serving. Overall, they are a reliable and satisfying frozen chip option. They are simple, consistent, and deliver a good balance of crispness and softness when cooked properly, making them an easy go to for quick meals at home.

3 loaves with todays date!
Good on the whole but bread is from yesterday and has todays date on it! I buy it to freeze it to last all week but this happens regularly and is frustrating. On the odd occasion I have received beautifully fresh baked loaves, still warm from the oven but last few shops have left me disappointed, would have been 5* otherwise

As far as chips go
These are frozen, steak cut and look just like little slices of potato.
