I don't normally leave reviews, but I need to make an exception with this one. This machine was awesome! Microphones were very high quality, speaker quality was excellent, and the navigation through the apps and connectivity this top notch. I honestly didn't know what to expect when I opened the box, but this is a high quality machine that is very versatile, and very high quality. Battery life is excellent, and once you enable and login to the Kara app, you are up and running for 6 months for free. There are a lot of songs, and I've found that I can access about 70% of the songs that I want to sing. But there are literally thousands to choose from. Most impressive I think is the battery life. It's amazing to me that this box lasts as long as it does on a single charge. And the microphones. Here's a pro tip, it doesn't come with a book. Power up the unit, open up the LED, and go to the app section of the screen. The first icon is the operator's manual. Go through it to figure out how to work the machine. It isn't hard, and I figured it out a couple of days. But the manual would have helped, lol.

Sooooo awesome and fun!!!. Great quality sound. I love that it is an all in one and portable. You can also easily connect it to your TV via HDMI. I have poor wifi in my house so it can get glitchy, but we then just played the music and words through our TV and used the mic and speaker to sing. Did I say the sound is amazing!!!! My only wish is that there was a remote to control it. If you are using this device solely, you will consistently have to use the touch screen with your fingers to search and select a song. It can get tricky unless you have someone that just sits by it consistently as a designated job LOL! The price is reasonable for what you get, the colors are fun. I love that the mics charge themselves directly in the doc. Speaking for charging. Be sure to plug the USB C cable in the port that is outlined in RED...also it does not come with a electric brick...but so dont most phones or electronic devices now a days. No biggie I have many for our cell phones. I am super happy with this purchase and will probably purchase a couple move during Christmas

Not only did I win this speaker at the 2024 KWCUSA National Finals after competing in the 2023 Karaoke World Championships in Panama, but it’s now become my go-to karaoke system. The sound quality is exceptional—it truly sounds like you’re in a professional karaoke lounge. The clarity and richness of the audio, combined with its powerful volume, ensure that every performance feels like a live show. One feature that I absolutely love is its portability. As a karaoke connoisseur, I’ve used plenty of systems, but the iKaraoke Shell S1 is lightweight, compact, and super easy to transport. I can easily bring it to business meetings and use it as a PA speaker, so everyone can hear my presentations or even someone else's speech clearly. The battery life is also impressive—whether I’m hosting a First Friday karaoke gathering or bringing it to a Christmas party, I don’t have to worry about the battery running out mid-session. What really sets this system apart for me is the ability to load my Karafun account and other karaoke apps directly onto the speaker. This gives me access to a huge library of songs wherever I go, so I can always find the perfect track for any occasion. Whether it’s a business event or a fun night out with friends, I can take the whole karaoke experience with me. Another great feature is the variety of microphone effects available. You can easily scroll through different options to add unique touches to your voice, whether it’s reverb, pitch changes, or more playful effects. Great size. Family and friends will love it. So easy to bring and use. Seems more than loud enough for home use and smaller outdoor “performances”. Mics have decent range and work well. The built in apps work well, and the ability to share a link to the queue is great. I’ve never owned another setup, so I can’t compare to any other option. Really fun and easy to set up and get started.

It's an amazing device for portable music with all of the bells and whistles you can imagine. Has the Spotify app built in which is what I wanted to use, now just need to figure out karaoke through that app. Screen is big and sharp with nice touch screen response. Held a long charge, at least 6 hours. Make sure you get a good USB charger block. 1-2W phone chargers will take forever to recharge this big battery (also makes the unit pretty heavy, but solid). I picked up a 60W charger and that gets it back to full quickly. Mics have good sound quality and fun effects (will use at Halloween!). Bluetooth, WiFi available as well as HDMI (gonna hook it up to a big screen so everyone can see lyrics). Looking forward to many parties with it!

Karaoke is incredibly fun! Singing along with backing tracks that closely follow a song's original arrangment can be an amazing experience (great for parties), and being able to transpose the key of a song from the original to suit one's own vocal limitations makes it all the better. Ikarao ("I karao") has become a real leader in developing affordable, portable karaoke machines that check just about all the boxes. The Shell S1 is a terrific machine, though it is not perfect. The machine has a touch screen, there are two decent bluetooth microphones, there are several different microphone amplification effects, and the S1 doubles as an excellent bluetooth speaker for other devices. The battery is easily rechargeable (you need to supply your own USB-C charging cable, no great hardship), and the device holds a charge for several hours of use, making it ideal for outside use, beach parties, or whatever. The lyrics of songs are visible on the touch screen built into the machine lid, but you can also attach an HDMI cable and connect the machine to your big screen tv so that the lyrics are visible to everyone at a gathering. One caveat is that sometimes there is a lag or stuttering with this setup, so it can be a good idea to set your TV to a lower resolution or to use the "game mode" in order to avoid a data processing overload. Ikarao includes the KaraFun karaoke app built in. Included is a complimentary six month subscription, which provides access to thousands of songs. After the free period ends, the subscription costs ten dollars a month, which I find reasonable, if one use the machine at all regularly. Another option is to make use the countless karaoke tracks available on YouTube. A YouTube browser is actually built into the device. One shortcoming here is that YouTube tracks will not have key control built in. One way around this is to use a Chrome browser on another device (e.g., a laptop), and to install the Transpose extension, which allows key, pitch, and speed control for musical tracks. A laptop can communicate with the S1 via bluetooth or else through a cable attachment with a 3.5mm jack, as there is an "AUX" input on the back of the S1. There is also a USB-C port which makes it possible to use karaoke tracks stored on a USB flash drive. There is a Spotify app function available for people who subscribe to that service. I guess one can use the Ikarao as an amplified speaker for music from this source. The sound quality from the S1 is good enough for home and "fun" use. Up to three singers can participate at once, as there is a 3.5mm microphone jack on the back of the device, in addition to the two wireless mics. The volume level for a wired third mic is not adequately powerful, unfortunately. Could this be improved? For the price, this machine is a terrific value. If you enjoy singing, get one! It is not perfect, however. There are several things I wish Ikarao could fix. First of all, the four buttons on the front of the device that control on/off, bluetooth, extra bass, and local play (which allows the use of songs stored on a USB flash drive), are dark and are not backlit. They can be really had to locate on a device that itself is all black. This is particularly frustrating, given that the very nicely located "wheel" that controls speaker volume is lit, and there are nice color-changing lighting effects on the front of the machine. Second, the touch screen can be fussy and is sometimes non-responsive. Third, the YouTube program/browser might be configured to include the Transpose extension, making karaoke video key changes possible. Fourth, the power supplied to the outlet for a wired microphone is anemic, and so the volume produced by an additional mic is disappointing. Fifth, the carrying strap included to help carry this fairly heavy device is really unreliable. One can conscientiously connect the strap as illustrated in the instructions, and still the strap might detach unexpectedly. This could have catastrophic results. If you buy this machine, I highly recommend that you purchase a third party strap that has attachment hooks that prevent the strap from loosening. Ikarao could easily substitute a better strap for the one they supply. Finally, there are some software functions that seem completely undeveloped and hence serve no current purpose, including. a kind of "download" page with no provided instructions at all. Maybe future upgrades will make use of these as yet useless software features. The operating system for the interface is Android, so maybe there are ways that other Android applications might be added to the S1, but there is no documentation related to this at this point. Even with its imperfections, this machine is cleverly designed and to me was well worth the investment. Four stars.

Love, love, love this karaoke machine! I bought another (cheaper) karaoke machine on Amazon and talk about a waste of money-it stopped working after a year of little use. So after doing some research, I decided to purchase this machine and this thing is amazing!!! It is truly worth every penny- it has an awesome touch screen interface with Karafun already loaded, 2 mics are included, the sound is great, and it is very user-friendly. I literally just hit the power button and used it immediately. I am super impressed with this karaoke machine and though I've only had it a month, I can tell this is an item that is durable and will last a long time. It has already provided me hours of fun. If you want an awesome karaoke machine, this is the one for you!

The Ikarao Break X1 is the best karaoke machine I have ever used! The features are amazing, especially when used with the included KaraFun karaoke app. A few features that I find awesome: * Two wireless microphones that charge when docked. * Multiple effects for your voice. (Made even my voice sound better! LOL) * Very powerful sound! The bass is loud and clear. (Could easily handle larger venues.) * KaraFun as well as other apps built-in. * Built-in large tablet. (Noticed at times takes a couple of taps for input. Maybe a stylus would help with that?) * The variable lights on the front are great for visuals. * Several input/output options. (I used an HDMI cable to connect it to my TV.) * Easy to carry with the recessed handles or carrying strap. (It has some weight to it!) * With the included KaraFun app, you can adjust the levels of lead or background vocals. (Check my video for a sample.) * Participants can scan a QR code on the screen to their mobile device to see song queue, add songs, change speed/pitch or play the music quizzes and trivia. (KaraFun.) I had to contact support due to it not having the latest version of KaraFun and they contacted me the next day (Time difference from US to China.) I sent them the requested information and they quickly pushed a firmware update to my unit. Great support! We used the unit on Christmas Eve for singing but the real hit was the music trivia and quizzes in KaraFun! We gave out door prizes to the winners. Everyone was pleased with the sound and amazed at the features this unit has. Note: To get all the features in the KaraFun app requires a subscription. I highly recommend this unit if you’re in the market for an amazing karaoke machine!
