Efficient and a good size. Sits well in the small tank we have. The water clarity is excellent since using this and it has a very simple and easy to fit.

Good little filter all round, and does what it should.

Can't complain at all for 7quid. Having 3d printer I just designed pod for my media on CAD and 2h later had 9quid filter selling for 20. Happy days

I've put this in a 65ltr tank with shrimp and a few very small fish. I wasn't expecting much from a sponge filter which was why I bought the double sponge and it was just safer for the baby shrimp (replaced a powered internal box filter), but the volume of water moved through this is surprising based on just an airline. It would benefit from a spray bar but with the out-put breaking the surface anyway it aerates the tank too. I'll probably make one later. Reviewed at two weeks use, can't comment on cleaning. I change the water 10% each week so not too much build up on sponges to clean off. Would buy another.

The filter was bought for a small tank and was bigger than expected. Using a Stanley knife it was possible to cut is down to size easily.
