Fed up with using my messy cafetiere, I wanted a simple pain free way of making a single cup of filter coffee quickly. If that is all you want then look no further, this absolutely does the job and for sub £20 is a great buy. The coffee tastes great, and you get a handy little scoop that is the recommended amount of coffee for a single cup - which seems to be exactly right. Looking at some of the negative points from other peoples feedback, I found; pouring the water into the machine, is a little tricky, but not a problem. The temperature of the coffee is bang on. The cup seems good quality, you couldn't turn it upside down without leaks - but otherwise is fine.

Working from home means preparing more coffee at home. I chose a non pod machine as I know some of the machines with plastic pods become expensive and cannot be recycled. Thus chose the old fashioned option of filter coffee. Easy to use just for one cup, use your favourite coffee. I have tried lots of different brands currently prefer a supermarket own brand that comes in a tin for around £2 $3. Insulated mug keeps coffee hot and you can take it to your car. I think you will enjoy using it and save lots of money compared to take away coffee

A neat little unit - I bought to use at work for fresh coffee in the mornings. Overall pleased with it for the price. Pros: -compact and lightweight - makes a tasty fresh brew good flavour just takes a couple of goes to judge how much coffee to use for your preference -easy to use and set up - took minutes! - heat cup that comes with it keeps coffee warm for most of the morning -filter basket easy to move in and out - insulated cup has a good seal on drinking spout so unlikely to have spillage issues -heats up quickly and delivers hot coffee in a few minutes Cons - cup/unit is smaller than photo suggests but still gives a reasonable amount of coffee for one -filter basket has a groove in the plastic inside which is hard to clean coffee from - a week of use and the filter mesh is already stained - insulated cup gets hot to hold - cup drinking spout is cut deep into the lid so you uave to tip it alot to drink which I found a bit annoying! - very short power lead - easily solved with extension lead but consider where you're thinking about placing it in relation to plug socket!

Bloody love it!! Coffee ready in minutes, tasty and hot. It’s a very small & light maker, really handy. In fact I don’t know how I’ve managed without it before. You pour water to the cup first, the exact amount you want and than transfer water from the cup to the maker and no spills no fuss. Filter easy to remove and clean.

This was a birthday present for my daughter . Perfect size to take to work with her in the mornings . Looked sturdy and a really nice compact design . However when she opened it the filter was missing . I was a little embarrassed but she understood , I gave her the cash instead and I hopefully haven’t had any issues sending it back .

I love this machine, quick and easy to use, I use a larger mug and add a bit more water. It is my weekend treat, so easy to clean too.

I bought this because coffee pods are getting more expensive & I'm the only one in the house who drinks "proper" coffee. Really pleased with it. Best to pour water in the tank with a jug. I'm using paper filters, Melitta 1x4 which I cut down to fit. These can just be thrown in the compost bin. I use 2 scoops of coffee as I like my coffee strong. A normal size mug fits fine. Machine is compact & takes up very little room on the worktop. Planning to use it in our motorhome too as it's small enough. Totally recommended.

I wasn't expecting much from this little coffee machine, after all, I only paid around £17-£18. Basically it does what it says on the tin, so to speak, it makes coffee. I originally bought this machine along with some size 100 filters by Melitta, as commented on by another reviewer. The machine arrived a few days before the filter, so I tried coffee before they arrived, it was fine, but I definitely noticed an improvement when using the filters. You do have to kind of squash the filters into the plastic basket provided with the machine and I do recommend keeping the lid open while it starts up, as I notice sometimes the sides of the filters collapse inwards the hot water bypasses the coffee. There are some annoyances with this device, but are easilly remedied however. The max fill line in the tank is basically a hole, so if you overfill it, the water pours out of the back of the machine and onto your work surface. Bit of an odd choice, but if you simply use the provided travel mug (not insulated by the way), you don't have to worry about it. The second minor annoyance is that there's also no non-drip function, so once the machine has finished and you've removed your cup/mug, you need to place a container (I use a regular sized mug) underneath to catch the drips. Overall though, if you want a no frills (at all) coffee percolator, I would recommend it.

Recommend for a single person. Easy to use and clean. Start button needs to be pushed hard to start the process. No need to add paper filter, the default filter is sufficient for a good coffee. Don't add water in the filter because it will drip down.
