Rear View Mirror Replacement for my Skoolie
I did a lot of research for a backup camera for my school bus I'm turning into a tiny home. Settled on this one as it was within my budget and had good reviews. I was not disappointed. The cabling is long enough to reach the back of a 40ft school bus. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover they included a 3rd mounting option that allowed me to screw it into the upper section above the windshield where the giant rear view mirror was installed. I thought I was going to have to fabricate a mounting option to get it mounted up there. I also like the option to add a second camera as I want one installed above the bus door so I can see down the right side of my bus, which is the other major blind spot other than the rear of the bus. The hookup was fast and easy. Maybe do to the fact that I've stripped out the interior of the bus already, so it was easy to run wires along the existing wiring harness. This thing makes for a clean install and looks absolutely fabulous. I haven't drive with it yet, but I can see clearly out the back now with this camera and it works in the dark just as advertised. I have a wide range of view, which is perfect for using it as a replacement for a rear view mirror. We are having subzero days and nights here in MN and the camera ihas no issues in this cold. The camera itself also comes with a little cover over it, so snow and rain stay off the lens. I can definitely recommend this for anyone building a skoolie. It should also work great for any other type vehicle as well.

Really nice upgrade!
This was installed in a '99 Damon Challenger, replacing a very dated B&W system that finally gave up the ghost. It is really sweet!Installing it isn't totally easy, but pretty straight forward. Mounting the monitor and camera took about an hour, and running the wire about three hours. I decided to run it inside. Routing was down the back clip, forward through the right stop light, through the back bay, and into the interior. That was the hardest as I ran it through a blind channel for about five feet. I used a 6' length of 1/4" all thread and pushed it through. From there, under the cabinets, down to go through the steps, then back up and along the right side wall, mostly hidden by the old shag carpet! I used a 5/8" wood bit for all penetrations. It looks great, has a good picture, and works as advertised. Great upgrade and reasonable price and installation time. Only gripe is with the instructions (I am a retired tech writer.) While it is almost impossible to cover EVERY installation, the instructions are pretty sparse. Example: they provide simple wire splicing clips that work great. I was familiar with them, but many people will not be. There is nothing to really explain them. Also, you may need some extra screws, especially if you are working on a fiberglass body. Also bigger tie wraps and perhaps duct tape. Still, great product, highly recommended.

Pretty good, wish it was fish eye
I should’ve installed one of these years ago. So many times getting in and out of the truck just to move it a few inches to get the trailer on. The only thing I wish is that it had a fisheye lens. When I have it angled down To the ball on the truck you don’t pick up the trailer hitch until it is within about 2 feet. Not a big problem but it would be nice to see the trailer a little bit sooner. Install was easy and it seems to be a quality product for the money. Not really thrilled about made in China but the options for made in the US were slim to none.

Easy installation, excellent video
I bought this item to replace one that simply gave up the ghost a few days ago. Installation was extremely easy in my Pinzgauer 712M (you might have to look that one up!), partly because the truck has no fancy trim or panels to worry about. The 66-foot cable is more than adequate, and the option of three different mounts is a plus, given that the vehicle has no dashboard or easy mounting points. Sticking things to the windscreen via a suction mount has never worked for me, and I don't recommend it. The camera, monitor, and cabling all seem well-made. Switches are large enough for my large paws, and easy to manipulate even while bouncing around on bumpy roads. Caveat: it's only been up and running for a day and a half, but so far I'm happy. The instruction manual (which, like a lot of folks, I don't pay much attention to) is pretty clear. It would have helped if the writers had run the copy by an English-fluent editor, but there were no glaring errors or points of confusion. Another plus for me: the system runs on voltages running from 12 to 24 volts, and the Pinzgauer has a 24-volt system, so I didn't have to add complications by running through an auxiliary 12-volt system.

Good product
Purchased the first one and all I got was a blue screen. Sent it back and received another one and all I got was a blue screen and no image. I’d say spend the money and buy a quality one, not one that doesn’t even have a phone number for tech supportEdit: after customer service finally contacted me, they sent me another one for no cost because they assured me they stand behindTheir product. Once I received the product I tested it before install with a battery jump box and camera worked fine. Either the battery I tested the other 2 with was bad or the cables were bad I’m not sure but overall I would like to say that this company did get back to me and did everything they could to make me a satisfied customer

Good camera, time consuming to install if your OCD like me.
It works well. It’s a slick camera but was a pain to install the camera on the back.

Great Quality and Value!
The media could not be loaded. I used the camera for my school bus conversion. It has a great video angle for seeing the full width of the bus at the rear bumper. The video quality is perfect during the day and night. seems nice and waterproof. It also has a microphone which is nice if having a backer spot our rig during tight backing maneuvers. Simple plug and play wiring.I wanted the camera to be on continually while driving but also turn off when the vehicle was turned off. I achieved this by applying continuious power to the red wiring and using ignition power to the "reverse" wire (green) this way the camera turns on when driving and off automatically when the rig is off. what is cool about this setup is when the ignition is off, I can still manually turn on the unit and see what is behind. I think its the best of both world functionally.
