6" x 9" 3M 07447 Scotch-Brite Maroon General Purpose Hand Pads (1-Pack of 20 Pads)

First thing, I grabbed these maroon pads for my apartment because my bathroom sink and fridge door were getting gross fast. I’m 28 and renting, so I try to keep things clean without spending a ton. I use one pad with cheap dish soap and it cuts through that hard water ring way faster than the dollar store sponge I had. One late night after work I exploded pasta sauce in the microwave. I thought it was stuck for good. I soaked a corner of the pad and scrubbed a bit harder and the gunk came off without scratching. The pads are big, so I cut one in half. Half a piece lasts me weeks. I’m glad it’s a pack so I’m not running back to the store mid month.

Since I run a small shop, I bought these to prep a metal shelf behind the front desk before repainting it. One pad was easy to hold and worked well on the scuffed spots. I do wish it lasted a bit longer; it wore down during the job. Still handy to keep nearby 🧽

Eggs used to glue themselves to my pan. Now I just heat the pan, add a bit of oil, throw on a lid, and later I go in with this pad. I can feel it grab all the stuck-on bits without shredding my hands. One night I totally spaced and burned a pan of caramelized onions. Like, black and crispy. I thought I’d have to soak it overnight, but I just ran hot water, grabbed this pad, and the burnt layer started coming off in a few minutes. That alone made me glad I bought them.

I used one on a baked-on lasagna dish that usually needs an overnight soak. I just added soap and scrubbed, and the gunk actually came off fast. That saved our dinner plates.

Works good on getting down into the grooves and stuff easy to use and great to work use I use these to help remove glue off a wooden floor

I have been using these as my kitchen scrub pads for over 25 years. I am sure they would ruin any non-stick coating instantly; but I don't have any of that, so there is no trouble there. If you are one of those hippies that never actually washes your cast iron, these won't be for you. I use cast iron to cook every day and I wash it with soap and hot water after every use. If you don't want your eggs to stick, use some oil and cover the food with a lid. Really. Super great on carbon steel kitchen knives as well. And they will remove burnt-on caramelized food in a jiffy from any cookwear. Great in the workshop too. Easily remove rust from wood planes and table saws.

I bought these pads for the gym break room and maintenance closet. We use them to scrub chalk off platforms and clean up rust on barbell sleeves. They cut through grime fast and save my staff time. I grab one dry for light scuffs, then hit another with cleaner for the nasty stuff. They hold up better than cheap green pads. That matters when you have people beating on equipment all day. Only gripe, they shed a bit on black racks and leave maroon dust, so I have to wipe twice if I care about how it looks. Function is good though.

I first came into contact with this product about 40:years ago . It was used by a company I worked for to clean fine metallic items . Many years later when I was looking for a similar product I remembered Scotch Brite. I purchased o box for my home use ; from removing rust from metal items ( bits of bikes) to cleaning metal pots and pans either dry or in water.. p e r f e c t . Do not use on plated items.

I was using this pad in my workplace better than the green pads buying at dollar store. Its a bit expensive but it last 4X better than the green pads.
