I needed a hitch adapter until I could buy a larger ball mount. I’ve bought Curt products before and they’ve been great. This is no different. The little detent really helps so you don’t push it in too far.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently purchased the CURT 45405 Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter Reducer Sleeve, and it has been a great addition to my towing setup. The adapter is well-made with a sleek carbide black finish that looks durable and stylish. It fits perfectly, converting my 2-1/2 inch receiver down to a 2-inch receiver, and it’s held up really well during use. Installation was straightforward, and the adapter is solid and reliable. If you need a quality reducer sleeve for your trailer hitch, I highly recommend this one. It’s effective, sturdy, and a great value for the price!

I purchased this to replace the 2 1/2 inch to 2 inch adapter that I recently lost. The holes on this adapter are at 3 inches from where it sits flush against the end of the trailer hitch. On the 2020 ram 2500 the holes are at 2 1/2 inches. This caused the insert to sit 1/2 inch from being completely seated. When I went to insert one of my trailer hitches it hit the edge of the insert before the holes lined up. I returned this insert and instead purchased the item specifically for the ram 2500. It was significantly more expensive, but fits the Ram truck perfectly. I cannot recommend this product for the 2020 Ram 2500. This is not a negative review of the product, only feedback that I hope others will find helpful. Bought this to use as an inner sleeve for 2" attachments (such as a SpitzLift crane) with a 2.5" Gen-Y hitch. It fits perfectly, and allows for 2" items to be secured in the Gen-Y hitch.

Good product, needed to cut a piece off it but worked out great
