The easiest, fastest bulbs I have ever set up in HomeKit. I can’t compare them to Hue I can’t afford them, but these work fine for me. No issues, no problems. These are L4 A21 bulbs, so a little bit larger than the standard A19s. Super fast response to Siri voice commands over iPad or HomePods. I’ll be buying more. Update: I’ve been using these bulbs with HomeKit for a while now and I can truthfully say that they have the fastest response to vocal commands of all the various brands of smart bulbs I’m using.

I bought this as a cheap bulb that work with Apple HomeKit. It was easy to set up and connectivity has been quick and responsive. My one issue is that one of the two I purchased sometimes turns on randomly in the middle of the night. I would be sleeping and be woken up by my lamp being turned on. This happened a couple of nights in a row so I just removed it from Apple Home and reset it. Since then, I haven’t had any issues with it.

Pros: easy to set up, low price, HomeKit compatibility Cons: inevitable failure within 6-12 months, support will not follow through I’ve owned a lot of these. It was hard to stomach more than $20 for a lightbulb when I first was considering smart lighting, and the price on these seemed right to me. Unfortunately, one by one they all failed within about a year all in the same way depicted in the video: increasingly bad flickering until they’re basically a constant strobe light. Initially as they started to fail, I replaced them because the price was right, and I figured they were probably flukes as is generally more likely with cheap electronics. However, and this point all of them are on their first, if not second replacement. A majority go down like this within 6-12 months, a couple of mine made it a little under two years. I did attempt to contact support about the issue at least once in which they promised to send a replacement. However, they never followed through on this promise, which was now months ago. Bottom line: I think if you’re not sure if you care about color changing bulbs and don’t want to spend a lot of money finding out, these are a good way to discover what matters to you for a low price. However, these failures now appear to be inevitable in every bulb, and the company is unable or unwilling to follow through on after sale support to correct it. I would strongly recommend against purchasing this product or probably anything from this company. The poor experience has been very consistent, and I expect it will be the same for essentially all customers. I will be considering spending more from a more reliable brand.

I have have used Hue Brand lights for years but moving forward this VOCOlinc will be my goto smart bulb. Inexpensive compared to Hue & no bridge required! Best of all for me it works with Apple HomeKit. Side by side the color is not as good & it doesn’t dim as low as the Hue lights but on its on it looks great & with the cost difference I can get 5 VOCOlinc bulbs for the price of 2 Hue bulbs. That’s better for me.

Like the light bulb but I think it would be better if it was brighter. Connectivity is an issue, it disconnects a lot and would like better connectivity.
