This order arrived a couple days early, nothing to with the product, but special thanks to Amazon and its affiliates. My biggest complaint was the one-page "manual" that pointed out the various receptacles, buttons, knob, and listed specifications, but, how much info does one need? If you need more, YouTube has plenty of info on preamps. I tried the unit and was totally surprised at just how near perfect the quality and operation is. The gain went from almost none to too much, so needed input can be set to perfection. Tone quality is unsurpassed. I highly recommend this preamp, it takes up very little space, works fantastically - even brought my old Shure Unisphere A back to life...

Pros and Cons. OK I'll give the Cons upfront because they really are not an issue once you know about them. There is a noticeable pop when powering on and off. Ok that's really it. What you get is a Premium Mic Preamp and line driver with up to +75 dB of volume. It's clean and transparent gain with ultra low distortion and latency. The microphone preamp comes with selectable 48V phantom power. Can be used as an instrument preamp and it has multiple outputs like XLR balanced output and 6.35mm stereo mic & line output that can be connected with audio interface, mixer, console and audio speaker and others audio devices and it's ideal for home studios, professionals, vocal recording, podcasting, and live streaming. It's worked for me and we may be added it to a dj controller for driving a remote set of speakers soon!

Plenty of gain! The on/off switch make a loud pop sound if the amplifier was not turned off before. I think if the power supply was from a 5 v recharge able battery then it should make the pre-amp near perfect.

I bought this as a backup/alternative to my aging ART MP Tube Project Series preamp. When I first tested it I thought it wasn't working because it was so QUIET! But when I used the mic, there was that nice clean sound. I decided this will be my main preamp now and the ART as my backup. I hope this lasts as long my 15 yr old (and counting) Project Series. I'll probably buy another one as reserve because with Amazon, you can't guaranty its availability down the line.

I’ve been using this when I do sports DJ to help get my secondary computer a little bit louder before I go back into my DJ controller. It fits perfectly right underneath my rig. The sound quality is great and for the money you can’t beat this. It’s very straight forward and easy to use!

Poor quality amp, all kinds of extra noise added from the amp even at minimum gain, phantom power off or on. Came out of the box with on switch and phantom power both turned on, nearly fried my mic just while getting everything plugged in.

Este producto lo utilizo en conjunto con el microfono Tonor. Sin el funcionamiento correcto de este dispositivo, el microfono Tonor no funcionaria bien. En conclusión, un producto genial, ambos trabajan muy bien en tandem (el Power Phantom JCANOL MIC - 1 y el Microfono Tonor).
