I have other EGO tools, so that was the initial drive to get a new string trimmer, but after getting this in-hand and using it.... WOW!!! It is wonderfully light and easy to move around with, without any type of supporting harness. It was preloaded with string which was nice, but that means I have not yet used the PowerLoad feature yet. I am also very impressed with how well it sliced through my grass. One thing I was key to try out was the bump-head to feed out more line... and it worked FLAWLESSLY. I've used string trimmers for 20+ years and I've never had one feed line so smoothly. I had quite a bit of trimming to do, but the 4.0ah battery easily let me work for 30 minutes with plenty of power left still in the battery. I have used gas trimmers up to this point, but I am very happy with the move to this battery powered trimmer.

So my beloved old Snapper one finally broke and I had to cave in buying a new trimmer, since I am the wheedwackerlady in our house... And THIS thing is a BEAST!!!! Meaning: Powerful, super easy to use and lasts FOREVER!!!! The battery is more powerful than my last, so I did feel its weight a little in my wrist, but thankfully I got the strap, so once I had it all adjusted perfectly, I went and cleaned out the entire dog enclosure (roughly 40 by 50 feet) plus around the entire house and trees in the front and the garage and the barn ..... all with one charge - and in the end I still had TWO BARS left!!!! IMPRESSIVE!!!! My favorite is the easy use - it only needs a tiny tap and VOILA the string is perfectly long again (which is immediately audible) - and it cuts EVERYTHING that is willing to try to stand up against it LOL!!! I LOVE this new trimmer!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Amazing machine. So quiet. Easy to string. Have both the edger and weedeater. Battery lasts a long time. I'm able to use same battery both machines on one charge. We have 2 acres and only charge once.

I've used it for a couple months now it's very good very powerful the power adjustment is ok. You might blast the grass away by accident. The weight balance is also ok the vibration of using it will cause your muscle to wear out so I would suggest buying a strap other than that it's good. I was able to cut my whole front snd back yard that had tall grass eith ab a full battery. Is the weed wacker made for it no but I did it any way bec how satisfying it is. I would cut ur entire lawn though bec I've had to buy more wire and refill it every other times I go and cut my grass. Ease of assembly, this is quite possibly the hardest thing I've had to refill the wire gets tangled and undues its self and it is very annoying a couple days ago I spent literaky one hour putting it bsck together while it got tangled and kept messing up what I would suggest to do it first fodn a good length for your wire then put it into the Weed wacker but don't start putting it in and tying it first put the wire through the cap first the green part with the button to pull more wire out and then when uts attached to the part were the wire goes press the button that auto feeds it in there and just wait for it to tie up and it'll be fine. I'd that didn't make any sense then ask some one who has experience with this. IF U GO FULL POWER THE WIRE WILL BREAK OFF OVER TIME IF U HIT BIG THINGS AND MORE WIRE WILL COME OUT AUTOMATIC CLY BY ITS SElf and I think this is because the rotation power causes it. Ull run out of wire fast then too much will come out then you will have to put it back in gas no ITS ELECTRIS SPEED IS VERY FAST CAN CUT MOST THINGS. Feeding the wire in the weedwacker if you don't know how to do it is the hardest thing to ever do in your life.

It's a little on the heavy side, but is well balanced, even with the heavy 4Ah battery. I have a pretty large yard, and have used it over a couple of days and still have not had to recharge the battery yet. This baby has a lot of power that easily cuts thru the many Bradford pear tree shoots that are all around my trees. Tapping the head on the ground to advance the trimmer line works extremely well. I don't have to pound it on the ground, just a light tap on the ground works great. The automated/powered line loading is a fantastic feature. I am amazed at the power of this trimmer, and it is easy to control the speed with the trigger. I did a ton of research before making this purchase. I am extremely pleased.
