Impressive and inspiring cards with very deep meanings.
Beautifully illustrated, vibrant and very insightful cards. The companion book is written very thoughtfully and explains the meanings as well as the intension behind the images. Did some spreads with spot on reading. Though not for beginners as it diverts from the Classical Rider Waite meanings. Card stock is lovely with standard tarot card size. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Stunning - Vibrant - Amazing
Loving this. The artwork is vibrant and helps widen/broaden one's imagination beyond leaps and bounds. I work with both this one and Rider Waite Tarot Cards and both of induce such a stunning reading session, I never imagined. Love how all the four elements have been symbolised. You guys should also add a tarot reading guide book especially for this set.Thank you for such a beautiful joy-filled deck.

Lovely to hold in the hands, the cards swish ...
Lovely to hold in the hands, the cards swish this way and that, the accompanying book is very detailed and elaborate. Reworks the tarot to some extent, normally not a fan of those, but the beauty and delicacy of this deck kstole my heart!

Lovely cards, Awful Book
I love these cards so much, the illustrations are beautiful and they are printed on great card stock. The reverse of the card features colourful butterflies, they are a perfect size and easy to shuffle. For the experienced tarot reader they are a true joy, but I would not advise them as a first deck as they do not represent traditional tarot symbology at all and you may struggle with other decks later if you learn from this one first - but another very important reason, which is also deeply frustrating to the experienced reader too, is that the accompanying book, whilst beautiful and interesting, doesn’t very well explain the newly introduced symbols and images and I found this very irritating. As an example, in this deck the eight of mirrors (cups) shows a man coming down the hill as though returning from a journey - to me this almost completely reverses the meaning of the card, whereby the traditional 8 of cups can refer to moving away from something, this card suggests that journey is complete and the subject is returning. The book contains a lengthy explanation of who the chap in the card is and the history of the Celts, the artists goes to great lengths to explain why she chose this character, but there is no indication as to how the new image may adjust the traditional meaning of the card, indeed there is no reference to the traditional meanings with most of the cards. Each card has a write up from both author and illustrator and both seem too personal and indulgent. Understanding the artists inspiration (usually quite unrelated to the tarot) for each card, whilst a lovely bonus, is no replacement for real substance and explanations for what the card means and the artists reasons for interpreting it that way and introducing new symbology. The author too prattles on an awful lot, but for each page written only one in several paragraphs hints at the meanings. As another example, the Strength card is completely different, instead of a lady gently restraining a lion we have Papa Legba, he looks like a shaman and it is a beautiful image but there is so little information about WHY they have chosen this character and how he relates to STRENGTH or what all the lovely symbols in the illustration mean. Indeed there is almost nothing offered in terms of this cards meaning at all and for a major arcana card I find this quite unacceptable. For a new reader this deck is thus really not ideal at all, for an experienced reader it is just sadly lacking. For this reason, I gave it a 4 and not a 5. I would love to see a new edition of the book in which each card is analysed in more detail and the illustrations and adjustments explained. All that said, I am still loving this deck, it is pretty and the images are very gentle - for those of you who don’t like the darker images that can present in tarot. To end this review on a positive note, the court cards are wonderful - each one has its own name as well, for example The King of Mirrors is also named The Sojourner, the Knight of Spirals (wands) becomes The Corsair and looks just like Captain Jack Sparrow. For those readers who struggle with interpreting the courts, this lends whole new meaning and gives us a much greater visual insight into its character. I think the courts in this deck are my favourites in Tarot so far. As with the other cards, the description and meaning in the book are lacking, but visually speaking they really do communicate each court beautifully.

A deck with personality
Besides the beautiful imagery from the cards this deck have personality, the cards have all a twist from the classic rW Tarot interpretation, which is great but not recommended for begginers, i tested them following only the classic meanings of the cards and is not working so if you like something different and to learn another way of interpreting tarot this is a great option, they are very intuitive as well

Perfect in every way
Beautiful cards, a pleasure to use, stunning artwork and I love all the symbolism. I very much like the shamanic slant in the meanings. these resonate with me very well. Perfect size cards. The book is very interesting. there is also a Chrysalis tarot facebook group to get support and share things, the author is in the group which is wonderful. There are no other cards like these! If you are wondering about them, get them! You will have an enjoyable time using them and learn much.

Intuitive sunny deck
It's a beautiful deck and to have the big book included as well, was a nice bonus to have extra insight to the art of the card.
