The Google Nest Temperature Sensor offers a convenient solution for managing temperature variations across different rooms in your home. Users appreciate its easy pairing process and accurate temperature readings, which integrate seamlessly with Nest thermostats. The sensor's battery life of up to three years adds to its appeal, allowing for flexible placement without frequent maintenance. This is the second Nest sensor I’ve purchased, the first one was still working perfectly until I lost access to a Google account. Unfortunately, you cannot reassign a sensor to a new account if it’s already linked to another one, which can be frustrating. Additionally, while the sensor helps monitor temperatures, achieving optimal comfort may require manual adjustments to HVAC vents, which can be a trial-and-error process. The cost can also add up quickly if multiple sensors are needed. Overall, the Nest Temperature Sensor enhances home comfort but comes with considerations regarding cost, account restrictions, and setup.

Works well when connected. Apparently, this (version 2) needs to be added via Google Home app. The Nest app wouldn't work for me. Finally called for help from Google tech support. Once I installed Google Home, it was smooth sailing. That Google Home nformation should be more prominently displayed.

Awesome little sensor. Our bedroom is hotter than anywhere else in the house. So we use this sensor at night to cool the bedroom to a comfortable temperature. And then during the rest of the day the schedule uses The thermostat which is on the other side of the house. Does it save us money running the AC and cooling the other rooms further no. But we are comfortable and not sweating during the summers in our own bed. Highly recommend.

Very simple to set up and works perfectly. Exceeded my expectation.

You can't even opt to use the average temperature across all of these devices (or your Nest Thermostat). You can pick ONE at a time, the temperature that device is at is how your temps will be adjusted.You either have to manually select to switch every time, OR you have to set a schedule and only one device can run at a time.My schedule isn't the same every day, so you're telling me I constantly have to adjust the temp sensor preference??? The whole point of this was so I don't have to constantly adjust my thermostat in the first place!!I really can't wrap my head around how GOOGLE is managing to make such garbage tech, I genuinely regret every Smart Home item I've purchased due to the daily inaccuracies or constant repetition of commands (despite having the highest model hubs in every room).I am an IT Endpoint Architect for a Hospital group, and I've read countless forums and tried every setting combination possible for my smart home items... They just suck compared to competitors. And good God am I sick of it replying to every command, where others will simply do the task and shut up.Save your money & avoid headaches, buy from literally any other company!

Used with Nest Learning Thermostat 4.8, works as it should and have had no issues since installed. This sensor synced with the stat just as easily as the two that came with it. Battery seems to be holding up just as well as the others as well.
