AQUANEAT 12-Pack Replacement Ammonia Reducer Pads Compatible with Aqueon QuietFlow 10 LED PRO and SmartClean 10-20 Gallons Aquarium Power Filter

I have not had these since the first one wore out that I got with the aquarium filter--I have just been using a sponge cut to size for that part of the filter. So I snapped these up when I saw them. I really don't know if they work better than just a sponge--I always thought that the effectiveness was due to bacteria growing in this, which the water passes through coming out of the filter. Since it does not say what the ammonia absorbing particles are--just not sure about this aspect. But I do like this feature of my filter and happy to have these to use in lieu of just a piece of sponge. You will just get these little doohickeys in a plain box, no instructions or other information at all. There are quite a few and the price is good.

I was having a lot of issues with my koi pond's algae and water clarity, so I put these blocks to the filter basket. Two days later, the pond was clear. I've cleaned the blocks a couple times since I bought them. They are simple to reuse and clean. To anyone wishing to increase the clarity of the water in their koi pond, I would heartily recommend them. I also used a few in an algae-filled fountain, and they helped keep the fountain clear and unclogged.

These fit perfectly in my Aqueon filter. I have a hard time finding these locally so it was nice to be able to give the AQUANEAT filters a try and I have to say they work great. I feel like you get a great deal with 12 instead of 4 in a pack with the main brand. AQUANEAT has become a brand I look for when I need products for my aquarium.

Fit well and work as good as any of the other brands I've tried. I change these every couple weeks and my fish are always healthy.

I have goldfish, so I go through some ammonia filters. I love that these are so well priced. I can change these out as needed without breaking the bank.

This filter fits perfect and is a much better priced than the vendor OEM. Very pleased with these.

I had a slight ammonia spike and while I did some extra water changes, I use these as well. I think the water changes actually helped more than these pads. My levels didn't really change with the pads.
