Overall - I love this light and will buy one for my parents (who also needlepoint). Brightness: I have been struggling to find a light that is bright, but not too bright that can illuminate my needlepoint projects while I’m on the couch watching movies or tv with my husband, who likes to have minimal light in the room. I’ve used a really neat light that goes around my neck and that was great, but my husband would complain it was too bright so I had to turn it off as soon as I turned it on. But this new light is different and he is fine with it, which is perfect. The clip: so some feedback on the clip - I tried clipping it to the smooth plastic or metal parts of my stand and it kept slipping off/not getting a good grip. I switched to clipping to the frame of my project and it works great. Also, if you have a thick frame for your project, it might not get wide enough so you may have to get creative there. The button/sensor: I tend to accidentally tap where the sensor is while moving my project so it lights up, which is a little annoying, but it’s not bad and if my hands aren’t near it, it doesn’t go off, so that’s good. But when I do want to use it, it’s easy to use and there are a few brightness settings, which is great. Charging: I’ve had it for a couple of months now and haven’t needed to charge it yet, so it has a good battery life.

I am so very empressed with this light. It over exceeded my expectations. The clip is very strong and tight and will clip on the smallest of edges and stay put... I bought it for my little boys desk that he wanted for Christmas and the rim edge is very narrow but the light clipped on very well and hasn’t moved.. The arm from the clip to the light is a soft rubber texture and it is bendable so u can adjust it to any position. The light has a soft soothing cover. Not too bright or too dim on any 3 modes. The light as a whole is the perfect size and very impressed with its durability. And my absolute favorite feature is one that I didn’t even know it had! I just came across the light; loved the look of it and breifly read over the description. But anyways it is touch sensitive to dim or brighten... It has 3 different modes of light and just takes a light tap to again change the brightness. It comes with a charger so it does NOT have to be plugged in all the time. So it would even be great for travel and if needed charged; its charger fits any cell port. (Wall or car charger) Have been using it on and off daily for a week now and have only charged it once and not because it was dead but just thought maybe I should. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.. I am so very excited and pleased that I found this product. I am actually getting ready to order 3 more because they are so handy anywhere and any room in the the house and not to have to drag a cord around or be close to a plug in. I have told EVEEYONE about this product. Thank you. You have a TERRIFIC product.

Overview: This LED clip reading light by Vont is very stylish-looking upon first impression. It is well designed and simple to use right out of the box. Packaging: The light was well packaged in the box (although I would have preferred to have it wrapped in bubble wrap for added protection). Instructions: The instructions are displayed on a small, single slip of paper. They are easy to follow and provide all the necessary information for using the light. Ease of Use: The product is very simple. It has a clip to hold onto another object (e.g. a book). In addition, the bottom the of clip can serve as a base for free-standing use due to two rubber pads on the bottom. I like this option, as I don't always have something to clip the light onto. To activate the light, you simple touch the square "button" on the base. Brightness of Light: The light has three levels of brightness. This provides more than adequate options for different light settings. Battery: This is the only thing that I wasn't completely happy with for this product. The instructions state that the battery requires 12 hours to fully charge. Out of the box, it was charged (at least partially), even though the instructions state to initially charge it for 8 hours. This sounds like an excessive amount of time to charge the batteries. I do not know the lifespan of a single charge, though. Summary: Overall, I'm giving this product 4 stars. It would have received 5 stars if not for the battery charging time. All in all, this is a very nice product that should provide you a nice experience.

i like this light. full disclosure i didnt buy it for reading. i just like being able to see. i go camping a lot and next time i go im taking this light. so first, no batteries, instead you get a usb charger cable which i prefer, less waste less cost. second, the clip, its big but in a good way. it can clip onto almost anything which was a huge plus for me but i imagine if youre reading Bleak House you would have no problems clipping it on there. third, the light, with several led bulbs this light can get bright...but it doesnt have to. using the super easy touch pad on the clip you can adjust it to three settings. four if you include off. fourth, the neck is pretty long longer than ive seen on most booklights so you can really adjust it to any angle. there is one negative but it isnt that bad. the touch pad is super sensitive. youre gonna accidentally press it anytime you handle the clip, but like i said...its not a big deal. it isnt a loaded weapon, its a light, youll be fine. if youre looking for a good light this is a great one for reading or just having a light right where you need it. im gonna clip mine on the nightstand that way i can have a small non-blinding light anytime i may happen to stir during the night and need to get up or just have a look around.

I bought one of these about two years ago for use while camping and traveling. It's been superb: produces adequate light for reading, is very packable given the flexible neck, holds a nice long charge. I've been very satisfied with it. While packing for a recent trip, I realized that I'd lost the recharging cord and had no compatible cords on hand. Now I come to the point I really want to drive home with this review. Attend closely! On a Sunday evening I went online searching for a replacement cord. First stop was the VONT home page. I quickly learned that they do not sell replacement parts for this lamp. BUT, the VONT site did offer Customer Service that's available 24/7 with a promise of speedy replies. I had my doubts, it being Sunday night, but decided to give it a try anyway. In less than a minute, a Customer Service rep responded to my text-message inquiry and offered to help. In less than 5 minutes, he promised to send me - by expedited shipping - at VONT's expense - an entire new replacement lamp. There was no need for me to return my item. They only asked that I send a photo of the lamp to verify what should be replaced. The new lamp arrived two days later! The agent asked me to let him know when the lamp arrived. I did, along with effusive thanks. Now I ask you: is this not Customer Service of the highest order?

This is an unbiased review. I was sent this item to test it out and to put my honest review on here. It was well packaged when I received it. Once you remove everything out of the box it came in you need to charge the light for over 8 hours before first use. It takes 12 hours to fully charge it. Once it was charge I finally could use it. It was very easy to use. It has a touch button that you touch to turn the light on each mode. The three modes changes the brightness of the light. It was pretty bright. The light is very adjustable, you can move it to whatever position you want it in. It has a pretty sturdy clip on it that can attach to basically anything you can clip it to. It also has little legs on the bottom to sit it on a table or desk if you don't want to clip it. Overall I would recommend this product to everyone. It was built very well and holds up. It will be well worth your purchase.

There is nothing I do not like about this lamp. 1. It is lightweight with a great clamp - that means it is easily portable. I would definitely take this on a plane, on a trip, or even to bed. Lightweight but sturdy - I don't see this being fragile in any way. Currently I have it clipped to my nightstand for when I don't want to use a bigger brighter lamp. 2. Three levels of brightness easily adjusted by a light tap. I love that. It is easy to get the exact level of brightness you need for reading or whatever! 3. I like that it is easy to charge via USB. Can't really comment too much on battery life as I would be guessing because I haven't gone through the battery. I would summarize this as an all around great product for a sweet price. No negatives that I have discovered.

I'm not sure how useful a positive review is after only owning the product for a few days. Still, I wanted to add something here before I forgot. The light seems pretty well-built, it's very lightweight, and it seems well-designed, with maybe two exceptions. First, it's not as bright as I thought and only works as a reading light if you can get the light head pretty close to your book. Second, the clamp is advertised as being huge or really big. It absolutely is not. The countertop that I intended to use it with is 3/4 inch thick. That is too thick for this clamp. The clamp can go on, but it is not parallel to the countertop and sits partially open in a V. That means the clamp slowly works its way off the counter due to the pressure of the clamp spring. I have another thinner shelf that is 3/8 inch thick. That thickness or less seems to be the perfect thickness for this clamp. Unfortunately, I haven't used it enough yet to be able to talk about the battery life. I'm a little concerned about the cord because it has a proprietary end on it. I'm wondering what happens if that cord breaks or gets lost. Overall, not a bad light, but it should be brighter and have a much wider clamp. UPDATE: After one month of almost daily use, I can now say that the battery life is extremely short. I haven't timed it, but it's only a couple to a few hours. Much less than I would have imagined. Having said that, the battery is embedded in the clamp base, and it is very narrow and thin, so the battery must be quite small. The good news is that this lamp will work plugged in via USB as if charging, so you can use it even if the battery is dead.

This would have to be the most amazing clip on portable little light. I have only ever charged this light once per year. Highly recommend.

If you clipped it right your book it would be fine, but I have mine positioned very close and it’s not very bright.

We found our lamp to be a good reading lamp in bed. The clamp is strong and has a good grip. The lights 3 settings allow for different uses like reading or on low just to be able to read without the glare awaking the other person in the bed. The on-off switch is flush and would be better having a small bulge to be able to feel and not have to twist and see it. Otherwise a good unit. Amazons delivery and service was as usual excellent.
