Shuttle Art 36 Colors Automatic Ink Control Acrylic Paint Markers

I have the shuttle art before, this is a larger box more colors I love using them & ran a lot of the in first box out of paint. I use them on miniature canvases, rocks, wood. Their easy to work with & like using a small paint brush. I would highly recommend to crafters & artists. They dry guickly, nice to hold & paint with, nice for lettering, the price for the quality of these paints is great.

UPDATE::: Y'all I love these markers so much I've been using them consistently since I got them in october- no issues with drying AT ALL, though I would recommend taking them out and giving them a good shake periodically as a precaution. I find that they work smoother/more painterly on canvas or primed surfaces- they dry a bit too quickly on paper and soak up a bit more, but they still didn't even bleed through my mixed media sketchbook, so that's a major win! The case does take up a lot of space when you have all the sections out and accessible, which isn't my favorite, but is only a minor hindrance. No issues with snapping or breaking at all. I still have nitpicks about the color range (lack of oranges and yellows, mostly) but have found that, while they're still wet, they do mix quite nicely. You can achieve a lot of good in-between colors by mixing on the surface you're creating on before the marks dry. Though I am still so sure I will run out of white and yellow before anything else, which has me wishing I could buy individuals. Despite that, these are one of my favorite sets of art supplies in recent years. I'm obsessed. Updated pros/cons PROS: -Surprisingly opaque -very saturated colors -dries fast and layers well (colors do dry a bit darker, as it goes with acrylic) -The brush tip is actually the best, no more pumping a paint marker CONS: -color range is lacking a bit in oranges, yellows, and dark colors -case takes up a lot of space when opened -------------------------------- original review -------------------------------- (I got these today, so this is a 'first impressions' review) I'm a artist and art instructor by trade, and I like to use a wide variety of materials to make recommendations to students as well as find new supplies for myself. These markers are pretty solid- I like acrylic paint for its opaque layering properties, as well as the quick dry, and these markers are pretty effective at both. As with acrylic paint, you do have some transparency and a need to layer, especially on lighter colors like white and yellow, or on top of darker colors. But overall, the coverage is pretty solid and the saturation is impressive. The case is a bit weird, you have to be careful separating the layers (they tuck into these little ridges at the back to hold together, and I can see there being a risk of snapping) but otherwise it seems convenient. The color range is odd. Acrylic dries darker than it applies, so after you let them sit for a moment you do have deeper hues, but the black included is SO much darker than the deepest of any other color. I'd really love to see a deep jewel tone range for each hue so I can achieve solid depth without just resorting to black. A deep alizarin crimson, phthalo blue or Paynes grey, deep viridian- the problem, I assume, is that these markers all have an almost chalky binder to keep the opacity up, and it sacrifices the deeper values as a result (many of the above listed colors are traditionally transparent.) So I'm not sure this would even be possible with the current pigment/binders used. Still, it would be wonderful to have a really deep set of colors, and if I'm just missing them in this 60 pack, I'd love to be directed to where I can grab them. Also, there's not a lot of orange options, and there are a whole lot of certain other colors, like green and pink. Anyway tldr; PROS: -nice opacity -very Saturated -dries fast and layers well -smooth flow with convenient brush tip CONS: -color range is lacking in oranges, yellows, and dark colors -case is a bit confusing I'll come back after a couple months of use to update on whether the markers have any trouble or not, but as of today I'm liking them.

Shuttle Art's Acrylic Paint Markers, the 60 brush set. This set has a wide range in color, from red all the way to brown. The matte finish of the paint is one of the best textures compared to other branded acrylic paint markers, and I've bought a lot of paint markers before finding these. with these paint markers comes a convenient stackable plastic carry case/ storage container. The paint markers themselves have a clear window where you can see the paint on the inside!! So you can see if your paint marker is out of ink or not mixed properly. Speaking of mixing the paint, all you have to do it shake the pen up and down a couple of time whenever you want to use it and the tiny ball inside the pen will mix around the paint. The felt tip of the brush marker makes for great thin to thick lines. You can get thinner lines by just using the tips of the brush and get thinker lines when angling the brush more. I've bought this a while ago and have been using it for many different art projects, from painting on paper to decorating pumpkins, to even decorating boxes. These will actually stay on all sorts of different materials and surfaces. The paint dries fairly quickly and for the most part the opacity is amazing, You really only need to go over some non paper materials with two coats but on paper one coat is all you need. These markers don't dry out when not in use for a long time as long as you store them somewhere cool, like a shelf or drawer. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants to try using acrylic paint for the first time, since these are very beginner friendly and great quality. As an artist I was so afraid to use my more expensive markers, but since these were on the cheaper end I had full confidence to play around with these however I liked. Have some fun and try these out, even if you buy the smaller set!!

I do like these markers quite a lot. They dry pretty quickly and overall have good coverage. I think that one of the most important things to test with acrylic markers is how opaque the white marker is and how well it layers over colors or can be used to highlight or correct mistakes. The Shuttle Art white marker is not very good, even after shaking it for over 30 seconds; it's transparent and I find myself re-drawing lines made with any of the light-colored markers (such as yellow and blue) because they are so transparent. I also like that they don't require a lot of setup and you just need to shake them for a little bit to get them going, because they have brush tips and you don't need to depress the tips to get paint flowing. That's really nice, especially if you are used to markers that require a lot of setup. The paint flow is also pretty consistent (aside from the light colors) - no blobs of dried paint or bits of the tip coming off. With that said, the hardness of the brush tips is VERY different from marker to marker and I am not sure why. Most of the markers I have used in this set have a pretty stiff brush tip, which allows for a good variation of line - if the brush tip is harder, it's easier to use a light touch and get a fine line or add details. The black marker tip, however, is so soft that the tip is already blunt and I am not going to get any good fine details out of it. I was excited about this set because it had a lot of colors, but even with this many colors I don't think the variety of color is that great. I draw a lot of brown-skinned people and I was stoked to have more than one brown, but they are all pretty light browns. I had to really swatch anything that looked remotely like brown to find a color that was suitable, and there is no shade of brown in this set that is dark enough to represent a dark-skinned person with any accuracy. There is ONE orange. There are two yellows that are basically the same rather than having like a cool and warn yellow. Same with the grey markers - two that are basically the same instead of a light and dark grey. These do leak occasionally but only certain markers and I'm not really sure where they are leaking. So on the surface, it looks like a decent color variety, but depending on what your subject matter is, you might find it lacking. I would recommend these but would also say to get the extra fine tip Posca markers in black and white. Not sure if the issue with the brush tip on the black marker was just me, but I assume the formulation of the white paint is just not that great if you have to go over what you drew 3+ times and it's still not opaque.

I usually never leave reviews but these markers are so worth it! Im traditionally a painter but it’s annoying to get all my supplies out at times/ paint dosent hold well in my sketchbook. Im typically adverse to making big purchases ( I got the big pack! ) but this was such a good investment and I’d really recommend. My only critiques are that there isn’t the hugest variety for skin tones / a lack of darker browns/lighter tans/ only 2 grey shades, and that the lighter markers DO require some layering at times ESPECIALLY if it’s on a darker surface. The pros do outweigh the cons :)!! Also, the pack comes with a swatch set so you can see how the markers dry, and has an organized case so you can transport them easily. The markers don’t bleed either!

These paint markers were an unexpected ton of fun. They have great coverage and a vibtant choice of colors. I have enjoyed using them on several projects. Easy to use and dries fairly quickly. I would buy them again.

I am a serious, long time crafter. I’ve purchased other acrylic markers in my lifetime and thought I would try these out. 1. The packaging it arrives in is well packed and SOOO fancy and elegant! I was very impressed. Still I thought, “let’s se how the COLOR though! “ 2. I opened the box and and there was another cardboard box. Then there was another cardboard box and it was packaged well for shipping. Finally I got to the packaging box. 3. When I opened the last box, I was so shocked!!! The 60 markers were packed in clear acrylic trays and each had a secure snap to connect to the next level of markers. The clear acrylic carrying case is NOT cheaply made, and has a carrying handle. I will say that the snap lays flat and is a bit hard to get my finger in there to lift it for snapping closed. ( I don’t have nails) but figured out how to use a scissors to get it lifted out. nonetheless, I am still impressed! 4. The black envelope that holds the information and swatch cards is so elegant that I thought “This could be an invitation to Cinderella’s ball!!” Lol It includes a swatch card on black cardstock, on a superior white cardstock and is preprinted by tray/color family. Wow! 5. It also includes little round stickers for swatching so you can secure it to the end of your marker and see the color without grabbing your swatch. 6. These markers are made with a very secure lid that snaps onto the butt so you don’t lose the lid. That’s always annoying! 7. The markers arrive “pre-bled” and are made to regulate the instant flow of ink right away! I LIVE THIS feature! 8. As with any paint marker, the more you shake the better it mixes your paint in the barrel. So if they have sat awhile, don’t forget to shake. 9. The ink…. It’s high quality! Comes out fluidly but no puddles. The lighter colors on black cover well BUT LIKE ANY PAINT ON DARK SURFACE looks best with a second pass ( esp if you have ocd like me!) so I laid down a primer coat then went for a top coat. It looked good! Paint on the white was amazing!! 10. Shaking the pen did not spew ink all over the place, but I still keep my lid on while shaking out of habit. 11. It dries quickly and without the sticky! Hint: it will take you about 1 hour when it arrives to set it all up for using. I opened the trays, let out my swatch paper and sticker paper for labels. I shook a marker, colored the little dot sticker, colored the black swatch to let it dry while I painted the white swatch. Then I 2nd coated the black and applied my round sticker on the end before placing it back into the tray. These may be expensive but they are worth the money for quality, carrying case, quick drying and satisfaction of color product, and sturdy tips. Hope you enjoyed my review!

I bought this set and the metallic set, but after one use 1 marker just dried up. I have no clue why- and I'm disappointed because I really loved them originally. I have reached out multiple times, on Amazon and on social media and have heard nothing back. The product would've been 5/5 because I loved the colors and the packaging but the one that stopped working has left me worrying about the others and the poor customer service is extremely annoying. Update#1: I FINALLY got an email saying that they could give me a refund for the 1 marker. I asked if instead they could give me a discount to buy a different set that would the color I'm lack plus id gain colors. They agreed to a 15% off coupon. When I tried ordering off of Amazon, the coupon code didn't work. I contacted them again, and they said I had to purchase off their website. When I followed the link they set that had the color was more expensive on their site than on Amazon and I'd have to pay shipping, which doesn't help me because even with the discount I’d still be paying more. I asked them if they could give me the discount through Amazon, they did write back saying something like I had to use their website and they would refund me the 15%- at this point I'm annoyed and exhausted. Update #2 I reached out to Amazon, and just took back the whole set. Amazon replaced the entire set- THANK YOU Amazon for being amazing. I'm happy with my new set, the sad part is I REALLY liked the markers, but shuttle art’s customer service is terrible. I would be wary of buying anything from the shuttle art website, and if its a third party seller like Amazon make sure you check their refund policies- if you are buying through Amazon, just skip shuttle art altogether and get in touch with Amazon. I wanted to try shuttle arts alcohol markers and colored pencils but now I'm second guessing- if I do decided I will I know yo buy on Amazon because I can trust Amazon to make things right if there's an issue. I hope this helps someone else.

Ich habe das 60 Farben Set bestellt. Die Stifte wurden in einem hochwertigen Acrylkoffer geliefert. Alleine das hat mich umgehauen. Ich hatte für 50 Euro nicht viel erwartet. Das hat mich schon vom Hocker gehauen, da sie so kaum Platz einnehmen und man sie auch unterwegs super nutzen kann. Ich bin Anfängerin was Acrylmarker angeht - aber die Farbintensität ist wahnsinn, wenn man sich anguckt was man von anderen Künstlermarken für Acrylmarker hinblättert... Ich würde schätzen von einer der teuersten Marken locker 150 Euro.. Bisher kann ich keinerlei negatives feststellen, sollte sich das beim Malen ändern lasse ich ein Update da. Toll finde ich die Farbsheets & die Sticker, die man ausmalen und auf der Rückseite der Stifte aufkleben kann. Bildvorlagen zum Ausmalen auf hochwertigem, strukturiertem Papier gibt es mit dazu. Mit dem Set werd ich sicher viele Stunden malen 👍🏻😊

Questi pennarelli sono meravigliosi. Sono molto pigmentati, si stratificano e sfumano (con un pennello intinto d'acqua o dito) benissimo. Inizialmente pensavo che uno di essi fosse uscito scarico e ho contattato subito il servizio clienti Shuttle che ha risposto tempestivamente. (Spoiler alla fine ero io il problema, dovevo solo agitare un po' di più il pennarello). Su foglio hanno una buonissima resa e tende da asciutto solo a scurirsi leggermente di tonalità, ma con una resa brillante e un colore che spicca. Li straconsiglio. ❤️

Très bon feutres acrylique. La pointe est fine et souple, l’écoulement est parfait, ni trop, ni pas assez. L’acrylique glisse bien et les couleurs sont variées et vives.
