Very easy to install and sounds amazing! Mine stopped working after a fuse blew, so I contacted Kicker’s customer support. They were incredibly helpful and replaced it free of charge. The entire process was effortless and smooth. Couldn’t recommend Kicker more.

it’s good for what it is that being said i’m used to my show truck with 4 10” in a single cab. this basically adds a stock or mildly better than stock thump. it’s nothing that you’re gonna feel in your chest or impress any girls with that Honda Civic that pulls up next to you is still gonna blow you away but for Personal use it sounds good.

9 month update: It was awesome while it lasted, but the speaker blew on me today after about 8 months of use. I dont even blast my music that loud... $400 down the drain. Original review: I was limited on space and mounting locations, so this install was tricky! Could of gone for a smaller option, but was worried the smaller ones just wouldn't be enough. So 10" it was! I managed to get the speaker crammed under the seat, but it was tight, and pressing on the seat foam underneath, which was causing the vibrations from it to tickle my bottom a little more than I liked... That's when I noticed this speaker had detents on the sides. These detents reminded me of products that are designed to be held by straps. So the idea came to try and strap the speaker to the back of the seat. The only strap I had laying around was a 10ft Wise Owl Hammock strap. I had to play with the configuration to figure out the most secure order, but design of the strap with the sewn loops made it PERFECT for the job! My van finally has bass and my bottom is safe lol Now on to the actual product. I know the description says its metal, but for some reason I really wasn't expecting it to be as rugged, and as metal? as it is. You could probably drive over this thing with a tank and it'd be safe. Definitely has some heft to it, too. The price tag seemed to be that middle ground which I always aim for. I've had a lot of BAD experiences with sound quality when it comes to cheap speakers, so while it felt steep, its absolutely worth it for the build quality and sound. I also added 6x8s to the head liner in my van because I didn't have space for rear speakers. But now my limitations appear to be the 6x8's and 6.5 door speakers. They just become ear piercing and dont sound good when loud, even with the highs turned down all the way. The Kicker 10" can go louder, but the rest of my system is like "Naw bro". So I guess now I gotta get an amp for the front speakers to match the Kicker now lol

Directions say you don’t need to connect the blue remote wire if you tap into the radio speaker wires. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!! Installed this in my 2017 Ford F150 XLT Supercrew cab and had intermittent shut offs. Thought I had a bad ground. After moving my ground several times and almost taking it into a mechanic to check the body ground points, I finally chatted up a professional installer. I’m no expert but following YouTube videos, I managed to install this in about 90 mins, including pulling the stock radio and tapping into the front speaker wires at the back of the head unit. Ran my power straight to battery and mounted the sub behind driver’s rear seat, which is a perfect space for it. I did not connect the blue remote wire per the instructions…it worked flawlessly for about a week, then intermittent shut offs 😡😡. The installer told me, “ I always connect the remote wire, regardless”. So, I connected the remote wire by tapping into a fuse that turns on and off with the key (#36 in passenger front fuse panel on 2017 F150) and that solved the problem. Connect that blue remote!! I never knew how much I needed a sub in this car until I installed this. It definitely solves the problem for those who want/need some decent bass, but don’t want to do a custom install with the limited space in the F150’s. My other car has a 12” JL Audio W6 and sub which is the best sub setup I’ve ever owned. Hits hard and deep even on the lows. Clean, deep bass. Great for reggae, soca and deep house I mostly listen to. The kicker won’t touch that, but it definitely fills the bass void in my F150 with the stock radio. The music genres I like, the kicker hs10 does really well for the money and ease of install. I’m no expert by far, but I was able to watch a few YouTube videos and knock this out in about 90 mins. 4 stars only because the instructions were wrong about the blue remote wire, otherwise it’s a 5star purchase for the money vs what you get in terms of filling that missing bass in your sound. Rather than spend the money for a custom install, I’d go this route with any vehicle that I didn’t want to invest thousands into for a sub, and where space is limited.

Super easy install tapping into my existing sub signal. Great controlled sound to better fill in the lows. Fits in so many places you just wouldn’t be able to fit a lot of places.

Amazing product! I was tempted by the cheaper options, but so glad I went with the Kicker. Everything about it screams quality, and even customer service was great. I called to ask a question before installing, and the guy was responsive and knowledgeable. Installation was a breeze (I installed it under the front seat on my golf cart) and the sound in incredible. I wasn’t going to bother with the remote bass control, but I’m glad I did as some tracks require the boost. I decided to mount the unit on a ½” thick MDF board to act as a baffle, and it further improved the sound. If you decide to do the same, I recommend a little padded tape on the back of the unit as the center Allen bolt protrudes by about a 1/16” which impairs good seating. Overall, I can’t recommend this enough.

How do they get so much bass in such a small package?! Sure, it's not the same range as a full sized sub, but this fits anywhere, and I don't have room for a full sized. A great compact solution!

I was going to mount this unit, but I shoved it between the plastic behind the rear seats and lo and behold it is a perfect pressure fit. No rattling or movement from this unit for how far I'm pushing it. This sub isn't going to win any awards, but is a good pairing for stock Toyota systems which sound extremely flat and lifeless. I paired this with a Beat Sonic amplifier to boost the stock system and I am completely satisfied. Oh yeah if you aren't comfortable soldering make sure you get the Kicker speaker wire to RCA adapter if you buy this sub. I found out when I was in the middle of installing it, but I just cut the ends off my RCA and solderered the ends to the speaker inputs. Also saved me $25-30CAD.

Loving the deep bass. Super conpact and fit behind the back seats of my Ford Maverick. Install was pretty easy. Very happy with it.
