Jacomo Silences Women Eau de Parfum 100 ml, (Pack of 1)

I bought this as a “blind” purchase based on reviews and descriptions as it’s unavailable in the stores. One of the most recurring comments from reviewers is that it’s almost identical to the original Channel No 19 which, sadly, I can’t really agree with. There are similarities admittedly and it is along the same lines but, on me at any rate, it smells far more like Safari. That said it isn’t, by any means horrible, and of course all perfumes react differently on people. One thing I do agree on and that is Silences is most definitely a “Green” fragrance and it is also very strong and therefore long lasting. I would say, without any hesitation, that if you favour green fragrances give it a go. It’s a refreshing change from all the candy gourmet fragrances the market is currently swamped with. I would say this is not a young girls fragrance because they have grown up only knowing “sweet” perfumes, it’s a Bowen up fragrance. I’m glad I took the plunge and purchased it because it’s different and interesting. It is green - but not bitter - yet has a certain subtle powdery floral in the dry down. Think Balmain Ivoire, Channel 19, Safari, Lancôme Magie Noire and if they appeal im sure you will like Silences and another bonus is you won’t be smelling like everyone else. This is a real refreshing change from all the boring generic stuff out there at the moment and I think being a lesser known, hard to source fragrance makes it feel even more special and you will be wearing a genuine French perfume. I know it has a massive fan base both here and abroad and now I’ve actually tried it, I can see why

I adore this because I was young in the 80s and Chanel no 19 was my first signature scent bought for me at age 19. Silences is virtually the same fragrance I remember back then, No 19 has undergone somewhat of a revamp in the the early 2000s and though lovely still it no longer has that impactful nostalgia assurance I recall. Silences does capture that confidence of the 70s and 80s I loved so much. There isn’t so much of old fashioned, pressed face powder smell here as you can often get with certain formulations of no 19 (though I always find the powdery dry down ironically absent in Poudre?) It’s very much a strong, bold, fresh and confident smell which is perhaps why like no 19 it has always had somewhat of a bisexual personality. It’s lovely and utterly unlike a modern perfume full of slap you in the face, sickly sweet, bubblegum and floral assaults which frankly make me feel quite unwell!

It doesn’t smell at all like the real perfum.I am so disappointed

Just received this ...wow. really fresh and just in time for Spring ! Love it. Love the bottle and the fact you just depress the top rather than remove bottle tops. It reminds me of a cross between Chanel no 19 and Cristalle Chanel, but slightly sharper. If you are seeking something unique, and different from the samey stuff of celeb fragrances out in the market today, this one will remind you of something fresh and take you back to halcyon days. Lovely and brilliant value for money considering it's 100ml edp. 👍

Smells to me just like Chanel 19, which is why I bought it. Brilliant, huge bottle, great spray. lasts a good while, Have ordered another to have in stock, just in case they run out. Fabulous.

It’s my favourite fragrance and I got it from Amazon delivered earlier than expected.

I bought this yes ago but the smell has some how changed and not for the better

I love it because it is one of the best fragrance I have used. It is smells nice and cost effective. I recommend it to every woman who wants to smell fantastic.
