Katech 4 Pack Gradient Cake Yarn for Crocheting Knitting-Soft Crochet Yarn

Soft and strong. Color is beautiful 😍 So far no manufacture knots. Yarn is so easy to work with. No yarn splits and drapes beautifully. Was absolutely surprised at the quality. I'm making a scarf for myself, but this would work for sweaters or blankets.

I bought this two sets of this yarn to make my niece a baby blanket. The yarn is beautiful and soft. She loved it.

These are SO SOFT I'm so excited to use them. They're 60% cotton, 30% acrylic, 10% wool and 100% what I ordered. Sized for 4-4.5mm. I highly recommend them. I'm making a blanket with them so I'll definitely be back for more. The durability seems great as far as thread itself, but when crocheting just know this is the type of string that likes to separate. For me that's not an issue but new crocheters may dislike it. Intermediate and up will love it

This yarn is very soft and lovely to use. It came with 4 small cakes and two hooks, 4mm and 4.5mmm. The texture on the hook feels smooth and glides nicely. If you find smooth or silky yarn difficult to work with to keep consistent tension this yarn may be a little challenging. I plan on ordering more as I am loving the feel and the colors. I do wish they offered larger cakes (perhaps they do I just haven't found them). Using one small cake and a 4mm hook I was able to make a rectangle approx 17 inches by 12.5 inches using a star pattern. Overall I have been enjoying thus yard.

I love this yarn. It’s a beautiful color and it’s soft and easy to crochet. I am making granny squares. I realized I needed more and so order two more packages of the exact same thing. But the new yarn is drastically different from the original. I have a picture of the new and original side by side. I’m very disappointed. The new one is beautiful as well, but very different in color.

There are a lot of knots in each skien of yarn, the fade of color would jump right in to the next color instead of fading slowly. Not to happy it did that, kind of ruined the appearance of my finished project. It was super easy to work with, loved how soft it was as yarn & as a finished project. Very beautiful & bright color

This is a lovely light weight yarn in a beautiful ombre tone. I absolutely love the way the colors flow from one to another! The Rainbow color way is a pretty soft pastel, and the yarn has been easy to work with. Are there occasional knots in the yarn? Yes. But honestly, it's not any more than what I find in other big name ombre yarns. I simply trim the knots & keep on working. The extra crochet hooks are a nice bonus as well! I've included a picture of a work in progress. These squares haven't been blocked, but it does a nice job showing the colors. I'll certainly be purchasing other colors in the future!

I have bought cheaper yarn in the past, and usually color transitions are really fast, and I don't get those nice ombre effects people look for in crochet/knitting projects. However, as someone still new to the hobby, I was not willing to spend $15-30 per cake that nigher end yarns can cost. This is a nice middle-ground; it is definitely higher quality yarn than I can get at my local hobby shops for the price, but definitely not **luxury**. The yarn can feels a little scratchy, thanks to the sparkle strands, but it's not as uncomfortable as some wool or cheaper yarns can be. The sparkly strands kinda make the yarn "fuzzy", which makes frogging an absolute nightmare; if you need to, have thread rippers and pins to pry the yarn apart as well as a lot of patience. I have not had much yarn splitting, but I did occassionally catch a thin strand at the start as I was getting used to the yarn. I did not buy this for the hook; I actually didn't realize the hooks were there until I revisited this page for this review. They are 6.00mm and 6.50mm, and are probably too big for this yarn imo. For my project, I ended up using a 5.50mm hook. I think you could get away with the 6.00mm hook, but the 6.50mm one just seems too large (again, I am new, so take this with a grain of salt). All in all, this yarn was an excellent value (approx $24 at the time I purchased it), and I recommend it for people who have at least a couple small projects under their belt.

Beautiful yarn. The colour is very pretty, soft spring colours. I would compare the weight to a light 4 I'm happy with my purchase and would definitely buy again
