save your back
I have back problems and this chair really helps me in the kitchen. I feel safe on it and getting on it since the chair is not on rollers. I Iike the short back support. It is also handy to grab onto to move the chair instead of lifting it. It is really nice to use instead of standing when I have a lot of cutting vegs or stirring something on the stove for a time. The seat swivels to aide in reaching items. A good purchase!

Solid, but tricky to assemble for non-mechanics
This was a gift for my dad. He likes it, so hooray. My only regret is not choosing a model with a higher back rest for greater comfort when he wants a little break. But the low back rest seemed more practical and nimble for working situations. The assembly instructions are clear, even for an office worker like me, but you need strong hands or special tools to hold the parts together during assemble. It's not easy if you're more used to typing than handling heavy tools. I had to pound one of the parts in place with a towel-covered hammer, which was nerve-wracking. I don't know if that was a manufacturer's flaw or a normal little difference that wouldn't matter to someone with powerful hands. However, once I got all the nuts and blots in place, this stool turned out very study and the moving parts glide along well. Value for money: It's much more solid than comparably priced office stools. If you don't mind words in your furniture it's a good deal.

A bit tricky to assemble, but worth it once it's done.
I’m giving it 5 stars right off the bat; it’s a mechanic’s stool, so... we mechanics have tools... and you’re going to need them to assemble it because the small tools included are useless. As others have mentioned, assembly is a bit of a struggle because some of the holes don’t line up; in my case, I had to use slightly longer screws for the backrest because the original ones would only catch by the very tip—but once that was sorted, it turned out perfect. I imagine everyone’s experience will vary—some might have more trouble than others—but all in all, I’m happy with the stool. I hope the photos give you an idea of what to expect. Go ahead and order one.

Freely fit work stool
Product was as advertised, study shop chair with a seat back. Install was easy about 20 minutes ( recommend using your own tools, not the tools that came with product). Fully satisfied, just what I wanted.

Overpriced for its quality
$20 chair at best. Many many parts to retighten for its short lifespan. - - - - - Update! Going to 2 stars for quality hardware included. Each bolt besides the seat back (use some sort of lock tight maybe?) was a nylon lock nut so they should hold its lifetime. Its lifetime… will update if it last beyond a year of daily use. So $30 chair for the hardware. Took a bit to put together being careful not to over tighten. Easy to strip if using your own tools so use the small thin wrenches and stop tightening when it hurts your fingers and you should be safe from over tightening. Last note to be thorough. Mine didn’t have the front logo plate mentioned in instructions and shown in images. Not a functional part but I like the logo so bit disappointing only having the seat logo.

Solid, BUT.
The item, once you get it put together, is fine, for now. At first the kit was short some screws. It had a major part that shouldn't have left China. Although their customer service dept. was easy to contact and made things right, the fact that they had photos of the problem piece and knew the issue troubles me. If you're aware of the issue, don't sell it. It's a solid stool but I am not sure I would buy from this vendor again.
