If you have a Dexcom 7, these hard covers work extremely well at covering them!You insert your Dexcom, put this hard cover over it, & then put your patch on. It’s very easy. The cover protects the Dexcom from any external damage. It’s a really good investment if you wear a Dexcom 7. I highly recommend it.

So far I really like them! I had to have a CAT scan and it actually protected it from whatever CAT scans do and it didn’t make it go crazy as far as reporting goes. And I’m not so afraid to hit it or sleep on it, which is fantastic because I’m really busy. I like the patches so far that it comes with I made the mistake of buying a different patch which doesn’t cover it so it makes it hard to cover it with the hole in the middle, so if you buy it, make sure you order the patches that go along with it too. Otherwise, you can’t use it.

If you are tough on your sensor, this is a must have! Combine with a solid patch cover and you can bang your sensor all you want and it's stays on! Love it!

On my first try. Patch lasted 5 days before it started peeling off.Great idea and I hope that my first was an aberration, but if they don't stay, then this will be my first and last order.Update:Last three patches have worked as advertised. I have had no compression lows. I will buy some more.

Does not help much with compression lows which is why we bought it. Also very expensive for 2 small pieces of plastic and 4 patches. However should help keep the sensor secure.

With the extremely poor signal quality of the Dexcom G7 CGM anything, even this small plastic cover, can attenuate the Bluetooth signal of the CGM causing a higher rate of disconnects. I have tested this with and without the cover with the CGM on my left arm communicating to the Apple watch on my left wrist. Testing on two typical days working in a home office, Day 1: Without the plastic cover I had one signal drop in a 24 hour period. Day2: With the plastic cover I had five signal drops in a 24 hour period.It would be nice to see this as a plastic ring with enough lip to go around the CGM, and the fabric cover without adhesive in the middle there the CGM is and only around it to stick to the skin. The pressure would hold the plastic cover as there is no need for adhesive over the CGM itself.

Work great. Keeps anything from catching and pulling the sensor off. Also works to protect the sensor if you need to replace the covering.
